The Association to Support Vulnerable Women (ASVW) is a Cambodian non-governmental association dedicated to promoting and protecting the rights, health, dignity, and well-being of women in vulnerable situations, particularly women engaged in sex work. ASVW works to empower communities through advocacy, capacity building, access to services, and partnerships with government agencies, civil society organizations, and development partners.

ASVW is seeking a qualified, committed, and motivated candidate to fill the position below:

Program Officer

Position Circumstances

Position Summary
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities.
  • Coordinate with community members, peer educators, government partners, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Organize trainings, workshops, meetings, and community outreach activities.
  • Prepare activity plans, reports, and project documentation.
  • Collect, verify, and analyze project data for monitoring and reporting.
  • Assist in proposal development and project planning.
  • Ensure project activities are implemented in accordance with donor requirements and ASVW policies.
  • Support advocacy initiatives and networking with relevant partners.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Executive Director.

Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • Khmer - Good
  • English - Good
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Community Development, Gender Studies, Development Studies, or a related field
Work History:
  • Program implementation with an NGO or development organization for 2 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Experience in project planning, monitoring, and report writing.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
  • Good written and spoken Khmer and English.
  • Knowledge of gender equality, human rights, HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health, or community development is an advantage.
Soft Skills
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.
