Job Purpose:
The Procurement Assistant – Intern will be based in Project Management Unit, Ministry of Rural Development and responsible for providing assistance to PMU of CSLEP to implement, coordinate, and monitor project procurement activities under the project in accordance with the agreed and applicable procurement procedures, guidelines, and the financing agreement of the project.
- In close collaboration and consultation with the national procurement consultant, the Procurement Assistant is expected to carry out the following tasks:
- Assist MRD in updating the Procurement Plan;
- Monitor implementation of the procurement plan and STEP
- Where needed, prepare and follow up on the request for No Objection to procurement actions from the World Bank
- Monitor procurement, prepare and submit reports and maintain the procurement record system including all documents, meeting records and correspondence relating to bidding, bid evaluation and contract management.
- Assist MRD in ensuring that all procurement is carried out in accordance with the agreed procedures, procurement guidelines and the Financing Agreement for the project;
- Assist MRD in monitoring the timeliness of the procurement and delivery of goods, works, and services in accordance with the approved Procurement Plan, the Project Implementation Action Plan, and contracts between MRD and contractors, suppliers, and consultants;
- Assist MRD in ensuring that a proper filing/record keeping system is established for the procurement to be done by MRD.

- English - Good
- Bachelor's Degree in Progress in Procurement, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Law, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management or other relevant fields.
- Having good organization skills, time management, and attention to details;
- Having commitment for growth within the ministry;
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Khmer;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within team;
- Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Offices, Email, etc.).
