Position Summary

Reports to : School Principal

Duty Location : SOS School Siem Reap

Department : Program

The Part-time Primary School Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging all subject that align with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives. The teacher will support students in developing problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and understanding appropriate to their grade level. The role requires strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management, and the ability to inspire students to achieve their academic potential. The teacher will also assess student progress, provide feedback, and contribute to creating a positive learning environment. In addition, the teacher will serve as an assistant teacher and help prepare and maintain the classroom environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the lesson plans and materials before class start.
  • Play the crucial role in the class and cooperate well with colleagues.
  • Respect the school rules and regulations.
  • Teach and explain the lesson concepts clearly to students.
  • Prepare, administer, and oversee examinations (monthly, trimester, and yearly).
  • Assess students’ abilities, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct evaluations and provide recommendations at the end of the academic year.
  • Record student performance in school reports and submit them to the Principal.
  • Support the Principal and colleagues with assigned tasks and school activities.
  • Maintain proper documentation and follow up on academic activities as required.
  • Organize and maintain all student files and classroom-related documents.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by supervisor
Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
Work History:
  • Teaching for 2 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Must hold a teaching/pedagogical qualification.
  • Experience participating in training on student-centered teaching methodologies

Librarian

Position Summary

Reports to : School Principal

Duty Location : SOS School Siem Reap

Department : Program

The Librarian is responsible for managing library resources and services, including cataloguing books and digital materials, supporting students with research and information access, maintaining library systems, and promoting literacy and learning programs. Additionally, the Librarian supports efficient daily operations through administrative coordination, record management, procurement, and logistics, in compliance with SOS Cambodia policies, internal control standards, and Cambodian Labour Law.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Plan, budget, implement, and oversee library programs and daily operations to support students and ensure alignment with institutional goals and objectives.
  • Maintain an effective, welcoming, and engaging library environment that promotes learning, research, and information literacy among users.
  • Encourage students to use the library regularly.
  • Help children who need to find books
  • Assist in creating and implementing Library policies and procedures.
  • Maintain student data, ensure all data is accurate, and update it regularly.
  • Order books, journals, and other resources and making sure all users can access library resources
  • Prepare reports and documentation for the library activities to school principal
  • Provide feedback on challenges and suggest improvements.
  • Manage classifying and labelling books and materials in a library
  • Ensure library facilities, resources, and equipment are clean, safe, well-organized, and attractive to provide a positive user experience.
  • Organize and facilitate reading sessions, storytelling, reading days, and literacy-promoting activities
  • Support and cooperate with teachers and school staff in conducting reading programs, storytelling, and literacy activities.
  • Contribute to the professional growth and continuous improvement of library, collaboration, and participation in professional development activities.
  • Respect child rights, privacy, and school policies while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive reading environment for all students.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, or a related field is preferred
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Previous experience in education, library management, or community projects (an advantage).
  • Ability to use Microsoft office (Word, Excel & power point).
  • Basic of management information system (MIS) is a plus and
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and community stakeholders.
Soft Skills
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Good understanding of procurement procedures
  • Passion for reading and supporting children's education.
