American University Phnom Penh (AUPPHS)-Foxcroft Academy, located in Phnom Penh Cambodia, is looking for a talented Primary Art Teacher (Part-Time) to join the school's dynamic team. AUPPHS is affiliated with American University Phnom Penh, as well as Foxcroft Academy (located in the United States), thus the name. AUPPHS-FA is in its 6th year and has experienced steady growth in enrollment since its founding in 2020.

AUPP High School-Foxcroft Academy embraces a college preparatory curriculum, created in partnership with Foxcroft Academy and American University Phnom Penh that embraces a STEAM (science, technology, engineering arts, and mathematics) philosophy. This philosophy focuses on combining disciplines designed not only to prepare students for university but also provides students with real-world 21st Century skills. All courses are taught in English by teachers from around the globe. This ensures not only a variety of perspectives but also an expansive pool of highly qualified teachers. AUPP HS promotes a western-style pedagogy that provides students with multiple opportunities to express their understanding of a problem or issue. Students are required to take 2-4 Advanced Placement courses beginning in their sophomore year.

Position Summary

SALARY: Depending on experIEnce and level of University Degree

Duties & Responsibilities:

Teachers at AUPP are expected to work collaboratively in order to provide a positive educational experience for its students.
Part time teachers are required to provide 15 - 20 hours of classroom instruction per week.
Teachers will be asked to facilitate an after-class activity, such as a club or group pursuit. Examples of this may be a Book club, Art club, etc.

Languages:

English - Good is required

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

Work History:

3 years of teaching experience preferred. for 3 years is preferred

Skills & Knowledge:

General & Technical Skills

Educational degree(s) reflecting knowledge of the subjects.
Teaching certificate is a plus, but not required.
All courses are taught in English, therefore communicating lessons in English is required.
Being a native English speaker is preferred, but not mandatory.

Soft Skills

Have excellent communication skills.
Be passionate about learning and teaching.
