Kroursar Yoeung Association (KrY) is a local non-governmental organization with no religious or political ties and was established in 2002 with the Ministry of Interior to promote health condition, cognition and development of children, strengthen childcare and parenting, improve and empower families through different development programs.

Currently KrY has been working in the partnership with ASPADA in Bangladesh, PAHAL in India on Health and Nutrition Initiatives for Mother and Child Project (HNIMC) funded by Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation, NOREC. The project has been approved for a new collaboration for other three rounds that will start from beginning of February 2025 and each round will last for 12 months on physical exchange plus two months follow-up activities at home countries. For the incoming collaboration, the second round would start in early February 2026 and will end by April 2027.

The project aims to provide the Cambodian youth (18-35 years old) who are dynamic and challenge to the oversea exchange opportunity particularly in Bangladesh and India on related social work, community development, nutrition, primary health, and agriculture.

To start of new collaboration under ASPADA partnership, the 2nd round of project, KrY is seeking for qualified and dynamic Cambodian national to fulfil two following positions below:

Health Officer

Position Circumstances

Position Summary

The position is for Cambodian national

The position will be on physical exchange that he/she will be working with one of the Indian organizations in India called PAHAL for from February 2026 to February 2027. The contract is made for 14 months in which 12 months on the exchange in India and 2 months will be for the preparation of departure and homing coming follow-up with KrY in Cambodia (Head office in Phnom Penh)

Note: During the exchange period in India, the accommodation is provided.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Engage in workshops on nutritional gardening and Early Childhood Care and Development activities.
  • Implement practical mini-projects, and visit established sites for hands-on learning.
  • Develop comprehensive action plans to apply their new skills in respective communities, enhancing sustainable nutritional garden practices.
  • Work with PAHAL team to learn how to establish successful nutritional gardens by selecting suitable households with available land,
  • Prepare the raised beds for year-round vegetable cultivation and planting traditional vegetables to enhance biodiversity and nutrition.
  • Support the community to gain knowledge of organic farming practices, including composting and pest management using sustainable methods like Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
  • Support the community to gain valuable knowledge in early childhood care, including health hygiene, nutrition, and child development.
  • Support Angawadi workers improve their skills in managing free play, early education, and parental engagement. This will enhance the overall care and development of children in rural areas, leading to better health and educational outcomes.

Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • English - Good
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Public Health, Agriculture, and or Equivalent fields
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Experience in the social work, Community development, Health outreach in the community, and Early Childhood Care Development.
  • Computer literacy (MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media and other relevant communication and web platforms, and use of Email and Internet etc.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent personal organizational skills and flexibility within a dynamic work environment
  • Deliverable some initial technical skills:
  • Good ability to speak and write report in English
 
 

Nutrition Officer

Position Circumstances

  • Schedule:Full-time
  • Salary: $750 - $900
Position Summary

The position is for Cambodian national

The position will be on physical exchange that he/she will be working with one of the Bangladesh organizations called ASPADA in Bangladesh for from February 2026 to February 2027. The contract is made for 14 months in which 12 months on the exchange in Bangladesh and 2 months will be for the preparation of departure and homing coming follow-up with KrY in Cambodia (Head office in Phnom Penh)

Note: During the exchange period in Bangladesh, the accommodation is provided.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a KAP survey among SRG members,
  • Develop and deliver training sessions.
  • Establish victim support services,
  • Create IEC materials on gender-sensitive nutrition and hold regular sessions to address health disparities and social inequalities.
  • Introduce parental education on health, nutrition and early childhood development in SRGs by developing group session modules,
  • Develop and introduce pedagogical games and IEC materials and conduct regular sessions.
  • Develop training modules on gender and parental education, train the ASPADA health team,
  • Provide ongoing support to ASPADA and engage in other organization activities to enhance their competencies.
