Communications Officer

Term: Rolling 12 months contract with a probation period of three (3) months. The contract will be extendable based on satisfactory performance preceding the contract assessment.

Duties
  • Production (content creation, including design, photography, and videography):
  • Create designs for branding materials, websites, social media, and other digital and print assets.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop creative concepts and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Capture, edit, and produce photos and videos for digital and print materials
  • Digital content on KE's official platform:
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure strong social media content and engagement, primarily on Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Create engaging digital content across various platforms such as websites, emails, social media channels, and other digital marketing platforms.
  • Project Management:
  • Organize workshops, seminars, and entrepreneurship events jointly or separately with partner institutions, organizations, or companies.
  • Manage sponsorships and collaborations, execution, and reporting
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in media & communication or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in creating compelling digital content in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in professional multimedia tools for graphic and video creation, ensuring high-quality and engaging content.
  • Exceptional written, interpersonal, and digital communication skills with a dedication to creative and effective messaging.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong skills in relationship and stakeholder management across various levels.
  • Extensive experience with social media campaign tools, digital analytics, measurement tools, MS Office, and Google Workspace.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Problem-solving mindset and critical thinking abilities.
