FSP Officer (2 Positions)

JOB SUMMARY

FSP Officer is responsible for supporting community events and relief efforts to assist beneficiary with their needs, providing them resources, and facilitating lifestyle programs. S/he coordinates with participants, suppliers, and sponsors for funding and promotions. She/he also manages the budgeting and allocation of resources for the programs, ensuring that the activities adhere to the state regulations and community benefits. S/he must have good communication and organizational skills, especially in writing progress reports and transactions.

Duties
  • Leads the development of family strengthening programmes in accordance with the organizational mission, policies and strategies;
  • Assists to develop programme activities and budgets and identifies partner organisations;
  • Follow/ implement FSP strategy and plans in cooperation with the Direct Supervisor, FSP Coordinator, FSP co-workers and other stakeholders;
  • Initiates family strengthening programmes in line with agreed plans and objectives;
  • Documents and shares good practices and lessons learned with colleagues to support organisational learning;
  • Recognize the children, family in needs, diseases affected and other trauma sensitivity, malnutrition, abuse, etc.
  • Explains about the program to local authorities in where it would be affected and to people in the community, who can be helpful to establish the program and also the children’s family in community.
  • Builds good contacts with family and children, in an appropriate attitude with them in order to develop good relationship.
  • Learns about the backgrounds, the situation of the family and also about the problem of children, and causes.
  • Provides advices to the family to improve security and comfort of child’s health, nutrition and caring.
  • Monitors and technically supports children’s families in community for better knowledge improvement.
  • Concentrates on the Family Development Plan (FDP) of each family, checks and collects data with compilation files.
  • Ensures implementation of simple and effective financial and administrative procedures, in accordance with defined policies.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested with an appropriate sense of humour, positive and professional attitude, and team spirit.
  • Strengthening of Community Base Organizations (CBOs) and good relationship with local authorities, the other development partners and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with related provincial departments/stakeholders to make agreement for trainings.
  • Conduct meeting with Shelf Help Group (SHGs) members and follow up.
  • Lead child club/youth club activities in Family Strengthen program.
  • Coordinate extra classes for children and follow up children study performance at schools.
  • Record study result of children every semester and yearly.
  • Work closely with Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC) and District Committee for Women and Children (DCWC).
  • Resource mobilize in community for the continuity of the programme for encouraging self-help group creation.
  • Provide and expand Income Generation Activities (IGAs) in the communities.
  • Prepare purchase request and quotation for buying uniform and study materials and provide to children for new academic.
  • Identify needs assessments and ensuring full stakeholder participation.
  • Ensures proper utilization of organizational resources, including property, vehicles, equipment and funds.
  • Follows the development of FSP activities ensuring target numbers and participants.
  • Coordinates mid-term and annual review of FSP plans and activities.
  • Uses software platforms and systems, including PDB2, RBM and ProDiGi, but not limited to review and monitoring plan, execute and report on work progress and achievements; and
  • Provides regular monthly reports to Village Director, Assistant Program Director, and FS Coordinator.
  • Attends corporate office meetings, activities, trainings, and events as required by the organization.
  • Works in close cooperation with FSP Coordinator and other key support co-workers to develop FSP plans and activities.
  • Fully supports efforts led by Village Director to create effective integration project locations.
  • Responsible to raise awareness of the SOS Child Protection Policy principles and to prevent and protect children/young people from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence, and discrimination;
  • Ensure strong focus on CS prevention by organizing informal and formal discussions, workshops, and other capacity buildings activities for young people to make them understand CS risks and protection mechanisms;
  • Responsible to report any CS suspicion, concern, allegation, or incident immediately, following Child Safeguarding reporting procedures. CS reports should be made to the CS team at programme level and/or to the respective line manager.
Requirements
  • Qualification & Experience:
  • University Degree in the social development or other related fields (Management, education etc.)
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of related experiences with NGOs, UN agency, or private sectors.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioural problems effectively with ethnic minorities
  • Ability to plan in writing and implement quality program for youth and children
  • An interest in development of family livelihood and understanding how they grow
  • An appreciation of informal education and a desire to help the vulnerable to learn by doing
  • Time and energy to devote to the project, a desire to continue learning in the project areas, and ability to share decision making and responsibility with our target beneficiaries/families
  • Computer literacy in MS Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database programs
  • Good knowledge of children's issues, children rights analyse and community involvement in the village

JOB SUMMARY

A Youth Leader is responsible for accompanying young people to grow up in a secure way through guiding on their individual development plan toward an independent life. He works as a coach guiding young people, accompanies them through their career life, and contributes to the quality of youth care. Together with young people, the youth leader creates a great and safe environment where young people can grow, develop life skills, employability skills, and vocational skills in order to reach self-reliance and be able to be responsible for themselves in society. He works within the framework of SOS Children’s Villages organization standards and guidelines and the child rights-based approach.

Duties
  • Supports in the transitioning process of young people from SOS Family Like Care to the youth care programme;
  • Coordinates and oversees all phases of youth planning, especially to develop and identify sense of self-worth and individual development plan;
  • Creates a secure and safe environment for and with young people, and actively interested in the young people’s school life, and extra-curricular activities, and motivates them to make necessary changes in order to empower young people to actively participate in making decisions that directly affect their lives through social skills;
  • Builds up emotional bonds and stability with young people under care;
  • Provides individual guidance, counselling and emotional support as a main care person;
  • Consolidates the young people's training of household skills to enable them to autonomously keep a hygienic and homely living environment.
  • Supports identifying relevant courses/training and encourages participation, and also prepares the young people for autonomously finding a job and supports in establishing contacts with local companies;

  • Supports the young people in administration issues and ensures that all daily administrative routines in the youth facility/youth care programme are carried out;
  • Demonstrates responsibility for all properties and facilities of the youth care programme;
  • Fosters and participates in teamwork and cooperation with other youth care co-workers.
  • Produce reports such as weekly, monthly, and on ad-hoc manner when required to the village director.
  • Facilitates or participate in any meetings/training organized within the village related to educational programs by instruction from the village director, attend staff meetings where project development and youth treatment issues are addressed.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Computer Teacher to join our SOS Children’s Village in Family Strenthening Programme. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong technical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex computer concepts to students. The teacher will design lesson plans, deliver lectures, and inspire students to excel in computer-related fields.

Duties

  • Develop and deliver computer science curricula tailored to different grade levels or skill levels.
  • Teach a variety of computer-related topics, such as word, Excell, Power Points, web development, networking, and office software.

Mission

A Case Manager is a member of a project team. The Case Manager will assist the Village Director in the field of pedagogies, actively encourage in organizing educational program for children and mothers and be responsible for all case of children and youth assessment, admission, reunification and integration and all refunds to them for official work and they will require maintaining and rending proper account for the same.

Duties
  • Provide direct psycho-social services and tailored individual support (case management), to children and youth separated from their families.
  • Provide quality case management in accordance with PDB-2 follow-up standards, facilitating beneficiary and family access to appropriate social and/or medical services.
  • Collaborate with corresponding SOS CV PV teams, and/or external partners and services (i.e. schools, local authorities) for effective family assessment and reintegration, in response to the varied needs of cases/families
  • Collaborate with relevant government offices (i.e. DoSVY, CCWC) and local authorities, towards successful process of family reintegration documentation.
  • Provide training and ongoing coaching to relevant external partners and services (i.e. DoSVY, CCWC), on family reintegration and gatekeeping processes.
  • Update and support maintenance of case management files/systems, including required MoSVY documentation.
  • Collect quality data and support maintenance and consolidation of relevant Program Databases-2 and administrative systems for reporting purposes.
  • Identify and support training of new Child Safe Agents, strategically recruited to support family reintegration activities.
  • Provide support to the Family Reintegration Coordinator for effective implementation of all family reintegration activities, as needed
  • Provide feedback on the strategic implementation of family reintegration activities including improvements to standard of practice and service implementation
  • Ensure that SOS mothers and youth leader receive support such as remedial, special needs and educational programs.
  • Assist mothers, Youth Leader and children in resolving their inter-personal, educational, health and other problems by provide guideline and counseling when required
  • Diversify and organize variety of children’s activities, games, sports, hobby and library facilities as well as outdoor visits for recreation
  • Maintain and follow up on personal records of each child on health, education, special interests and incidents.
  • Initiate and develop new programs for benefit of all children and organize creative activities to promote talented potentials

JOB SUMMARY

The role of the ECD head is to manage day to day operations of Early Childhood Development/Kindergarten program and facility. The ECD head will foster a learning environment to provide small children with a positive start to their education. This role will manage and mentor a dedicated group of early education teachers and oversee all operational requirements of running a Kindergarten and other assigned by the Village Director of SOS Children's Village Phnom Penh.

Duties
  • Oversee the daily operation of the kindergarten.
  • Create policies and develop curricula which conform to the state requirements.
  • Ensure that the property is well-maintained.
  • Schedule on-going training of teachers.
  • Coordinate Kindergarten admissions and enrolment, administration and staff management.
  • Contribute to a school culture which is positive, purposeful and professional.
  • To have an in depth knowledge of the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide, with the capacity to effectively blend subject content and pedagogical approaches with school-based needs.
  • Employ effective and innovative methods for the collection of pupils’ developmental data.
  • Set a model of excellence in classroom practice.
  • Carry out all the duties of a class teacher when necessary.
  • Undertake a yearly cycle of self-evaluation and improvement planning on the delivery of the curriculum.

Duties
  • Under the direction of administrator, a cook is a member of the supporting staff who is responsible for providing preparation daily food for the personnel, and cleaning all office spaces by observing the rules of hygiene and determining the needs of the facility in terms of material.
  • Key responsibilities
  • Prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner by observing the rule of hygiene
  • Keeping the facility and kitchen clean and orderly
  • Preparing meals and food in special events, if required to do so
  • Preparing procurement list, making order and placing materials purchase properly in their respective storages
  • Controlling fixture in the kitchen and storages and informing administrator in case there is any problem
  • Fully and timely performing all kinds of duties and assignments given by superiors with the framework of laws, bylaws, regulations, general order and principle of SOS
  • Responsible to successive superiors in timely performance of works assigned
  • Ensure adequacy of food, meal for staff and transparency in budget expense and report submission.
