Administrator, Engineering Parts Purchase and Inventory Control (1 Position) Apply Now

Summary: This role will responsible on managing inventory stock and support technical team (Maintenance and Utility) to order and build up spare part.

Duties
  • Managing inventory levels, including stock re-orders and replenishment
  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock base on stock level and order required
  • Monitor weekly stock of HFO, diesel, and lubricant for machineries.
  • Ensure part movement base on first in first out stock.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards and that spare part storage is secured, good arrangement and 5S implemented
  • Generate purchase requisition and ensuring orders are placed regularly with suppliers.
  • Keep updated inventory records (include daily shipments), receive shipment from logistic and submit document to Finance.
  • Handling customer inquiries and complaints, and negotiating with vendors
  • Issue spare part to the right work order and capture the monthly expense on spare part.
  • Coordinate regular inventory audit internal and external.
  • Conduct stock take every 3 monthly with Finance.
  • Support parts requirements out of working hours, if required.
  • Flexible to take on additional task as when required by Maintenance Manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related fields
  • At least 2 years’ inventory stock control and spare part store management
  • At least 2 years in stock control and purchasing spare part local and oversea
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Positive approach to customer and clients
  • Ability to work under pressure and familiar with inventory management system, SAP
  • Good communication skill with supplier (oversea and local)
  • Proficiency in local and English languages (Speaking, listening and writing)

Duties
  • Ensuring smooth operation for overall Plant Production Machine Maintenance, Facilities/ Utilities and Engineering & provides support in machine breakdowns, upgrading or modification and as per others designated
  • Ensure full compliance to safety procedure, food safety management, hygiene procedures, and 5S execution
  • Participate actively in problem solving and process improvement initiatives; identify, evaluate, analyze and implement actions required
  • To ensure the production machines and equipment operate in smooth without major stoppage
  • Execute maintenance plan to achieve Mechanical Efficiency targets in terms of machine downtime, quality, hygiene, and cost and consumer complaints. SOPs are to be the main references in executing the tasks
  • Fully responsible on the machine, attending breakdown, upgrading or modification
  • To be proactive, able to troubleshoot problems to prevent lose time or downtime, learn and be competent to troubleshoot PLC systems
  • Plan and execute routine preventive maintenance on all production machinery with technicians
  • Responsible to alert the Maintenance Manager of any unusual occurrence and /or damage that have taken place or may occur
  • Coach and train electrical maintenance technicians
  • Involve actively in shift review meetings & department meetings
  • Execute the implementation of the plant certification & conformance to Integrated Management System (IMS) that consist of HACCP, ISO9001, ISO14001, PAS220 and ISO22000
  • Review spare part electrical to find any material developing lifetime of each equipment plant in term of cost saving and optimize usage
  • Update all the documents in timely manner as per Good Documentation Practice (GDP)
  • Strict enforcement of all rules and regulations in the company, subject to the Organization of work, hold jobs
  • Execute any other engineering & maintenance related activities as when required by superiors
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical and electrical engineering from a recognized university or polytechnic or equivalent qualification
  • Min. 3 year working experience on shop floor within production or utilities
  • Min. 5 years’ experience in handling mechanical engineering team at supervisory within manufacturing industry
  • Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power point), Drawing software, PLC and control system
  • Skill in implementation of Preventive Maintenance Program

Duties
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled service activities, including emergency service, corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, and installations for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, conveyors, valves, hydraulic, pneumatic, sensors, gauges, RTD’s, pressure transmitters, flow meters and all other types of equipment at the plant.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to increase the equipment performance of the production line.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment or instrumentation under the control of an automated system.
  • Execute the work order assigned by the direct supervisor or manager.
  • Alert the maintenance supervisor if there is any unusual occurrence or damage that has taken place or may cause a breakdown in the operation of machinery or equipment.
  • Able to work on shift, flexible to work, and support production Lines follow the production plan and arrangements made by management.
  • Conduct the 5S and GMP working area and workshop after completing the job.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety, health, environment, quality and food safety
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical or related field
  • Technical knowledge and skill in mechanical, electrical (power and control), welding, hydraulic, pneumatic, basic PLC, HMI, BUS System, instrumentation, and plumbing
  • Computer knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a technician or engineer in maintenance, utility, or relevant experience in a similar manufacturing environment
  • Experience in problem solving, 5S, GMP, and drive improvement
  • Experience in using maintenance tools for drilling, welding, and cutting, and understanding electrical drawing and PID
  • Experience of electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems.
