Supervisor: Vice President – Growth & Development

Description: The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and managing the implementation of the University’s marketing strategies and activities, through print, electronic, and new technologies media to effectively describe and promote the university. You will be responsible for leading and managing marketing and communications activities, including content creation, monitoring the ongoing market research and analysis, and public relations and university communications (internal and external). The Marketing and Communications Department is responsible for marketing strategies and initiatives for the university’s undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs.

As this is a management-level position, you are responsible for supporting a collaborative environment, fostering a culture of trust and mutual respect, and championing AUPP’s values. You must demonstrate the highest standards of leadership qualities and contribute strategically to the development of the university.

Duties
  • Take charge of university-wide marketing and communications initiatives that enhance the image, brand, and position of the university and ensure brand consistency.
  • Lead a cross-functional team throughout the entire project lifecycle, including collaboration with relevant departments and Schools, digital and web strategy development, and analytics tracking.
  • Play a pivotal role as an influencer and collaborator within the university.
  • Collaborate closely with professionals in creative services, strategic communications, digital marketing, media relations, university events, and various departments and Schools across the University to devise and execute top-notch marketing campaigns for undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs.
  • Employ a range of tactics such as digital and traditional advertising, social media, experiential marketing, sponsorships, and more to accomplish the objectives outlined in the annual communications and marketing plan.
  • Monitor progress for market research and monitor trends in higher education as a base for developing strategies and materials to market the university.
  • Assume responsibility for and enhance the visibility of the university website, Facebook, other social media and web accounts and presence.
  • Coordinate and maintain press and media contacts; serve as university spokesperson at request of the Vice President.
  • Serve as the university focal point on traditional and new media communication tools (brochures/handouts, web, social media, and CRM system-based communications plans); design (including branding), develop, produce, edit, and distribute materials.
  • Assume responsibility and oversight for events and visits related to AUPP.
  • Prepare monthly reports and other requests as directed by immediate supervisor.
  • Represent AUPP brand with dignity and enthusiasm. Participate in campus committees associated with university marketing, staff meetings, and functions as required.
  • Conduct limited business travel as appropriate.
  • Manage employee workflow and progress and identify areas of improvement through regular evaluations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor as needed.
Requirements
  • Preferred Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Previous experience of leading and managing a team preferred
  • A minimum of five (5) years of marketing experience, preferably within the education industry, and/or a portfolio demonstrating marketing and communication skills.
  • Strong English skills, oral and written; bilingual in Khmer preferred but not required.
  • Excellent ability to work as part of a team and independently to achieve Departmental goals and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills with students and parents in an effective and professional manner.
  • Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in providing quality customer service,
  • Creative, innovative, energetic personality that is flexible and responsive. A strategic thinker who understands markets and “best” communications strategies for promoting the university.
  • Experience in writing press releases, making presentations, and working with media, Experience in Cambodia or the ASEAN Region is preferred.
  • Strong technical skills in computer literacy, including word processing, database management, graphic design, desktop publishing, Photoshop, Excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator, etc.
  • Able to work under tight and competing deadlines, manage projects simultaneously, work independently but through consultation.
  • Some travel may be required, especially related to events and visits.

The Creative and Branding Officer is responsible for executing the overall creative vision and strategy for the marketing and communications department. This role encompasses creation of compelling marketing contents both prints & digital, contents for other marketing campaigns, and branding.

Duties
  • Creative contents:
  • Execute the creative process from concept development to final execution.
  • Work with copywriters/social media team, and other creative team members to produce high-quality creative assets.
  • Develop creative briefs and provide clear direction for designers
  • Ensure all creative deliverables align with the brand identity and messaging of AUPP
  • Marketing production management
  • Be responsible for taking photos and video for all AUPP events and requested events.
  • Assist Marcomms manager in producing video content’s strategic plan
  • Develop creative concepts, storyboards, and scripts for video projects
  • Work closely with digital & social media team to understand project goals, brief of video concepts, target audience, and desired video style.
  • Set up camera equipment, lighting, sound gear & decorations to make sure that good quality photos and videos.
  • Produce high quality motion graphics for social media and advertising purposes.
  • Ensure all equipment/camera is in good working order and troubleshoot any technical problems
  • Maintain a high level of organization and meet deadlines
  • Work closely with and coach student employees on video creative concepts and video production, to be involved and support photo & video projects
  • Analyze video performance metrics and suggest improvements for future projects
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest video production trends and technologies
  • Working closely with IT team to oversee web design UX/UI and recommend to them
  • Brand Strategy and Development:
  • Develop and maintain a strong brand identity and positioning aligned with the company's mission and values.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform brand strategy.
  • Develop and implement brand guidelines and standards.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and touchpoints.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in creative work or branding
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful branding
  • Strong understanding of design principles and visual communications.
  • Good project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience in the education sector is preferred.

Position Summary: Adjunct faculty will spend most of their time interacting with and teaching students, while maintaining flexibility in fulfilling various responsibilities.

Duties
  • Typical duties of adjunct instructors may include the following:
  • Teaching graduate and/or undergraduate students in a specific field of expertise
  • Following and modifying (as needed) the class syllabus to ensure that the syllabus meets department and university standards with no substantial changes made without consent of relevant Program Chair or Dean approval.
