We’re looking for a French teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the French language and culture and be able to effectively communicate with students. They will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced. If you are a native French speaker or have a high level of proficiency in the language, we want to hear from you!

  • Provide feedback to students and parents
  • Attend all school and parent meetings
  • Meet with students outside of class during their scheduled study periods
  • Provide direct instruction to students in the classroom

  • Uncover new teaching strategies and materials
  • Keep abreast of research and industry trends
  • Regularly assess students’ performance and progress to ensure they reach the curriculum goals

  • Develop and implement differentiated instructional methodologies to meet the individual needs of students
  • Develop and implement curriculum and instructional design strategies for visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in student files
  • Prepare lesson plans, individual assessments, and student progress reports
  • Maintain student discipline records and record student absences
  • Work with parents to establish and maintain a positive classroom environment-Plan, organize, and conduct extracurricular activities
  • Develop and implement an ongoing professional development program for all faculty
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in French as a second language education or 2+ years’ teaching experience
  • Proven ability to teach French, including grammar, literature, and phonetics
  • Proven ability to follow lesson lesson plans
  • Teaching and organization skills
  • Patience and flexibility
  • Strong communication skills
