Duties
  • Establish, strategise and manage the University Relations portfolio under the direction of the VC office.
  • Responsible to develop, implement and enhance the university relationships with four key groups, namely, business communities, High schools, MoEYS and other Ministries, and local and overseas universities.
  • Liaise with the local MoEYS and relevant agencies for compliance, approval and delivery of existing and new courses, qualifications and accreditations.
  • Develop and coordinate with existing and potential local and overseas university, HEIs and professional bodies for cooperation, exchanges, validations, joint recognition of programs, and enhancement of relationship.
  • Work with both public and private High schools for progression pathways for high school graduates to meet our university's annual enrolment target.
  • Reach out and establish working relationships with the business communities and associations in organising work placements, internships, career placement and professional talks for our students.
  • Enhance the reputation, publicity and awareness of the university in Cambodia and the region.
  • Develop courseware, action plans and SOP manuals for operations
  • Coordinate with other departments to disseminate and implement the deliverables generated from your University Relations office
Requirements
  • Postgraduate degree, preferably in Business, Management or Education.
  • In-depth working experience with local MoEYS and other academic agencies is a MUST. High competency to resolve complex issues.
  • At least 5 years of senior management experience in the Higher education sector
  • Wide current network and contacts with the high schools, local business sector, community and NGOs.
  • Fluent in English and Khmer for translation and communication.
  • Possess good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong work ethics, responsible and a passion for education. Meticulous on details and conversant with plan, process and policies writing.

The Director – Learning, Teaching and Research is the academic leader overall responsible for the excellent developments and performance in learning, teaching and research. He reports directly to the VC office and is a member of the senior management team with academic, administrative, quality assurance and fiscal responsibilities.

Duties
  • The Director – LTR is responsible for overseeing all teaching and research programs at the University. This includes monitoring timetables, class allocation, academic department functioning, timely implementation of teaching programs, student feedback, and test administration.
  • He shall address any routine issues related to teaching, research, faculty, and students as the first point of contact for resolution upon escalation by the Head of Schools. He is in-charge of the university’s research portfolio.
  • He is responsible for ensuring the quality assurance and accreditation process of the University, and also implementing the instructions of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS), Government of Cambodia.
  • He is responsible for obtaining local and international Accreditations e.g. ACC, AUN, AACSB, as a strategic initiative of the future.
  • The Director-LTR is responsible for improving the University's position in national and international ranking agencies and publications, such as QS World University Rankings, Global Universities Rankings, and Times Higher Education Ranking.
  • He shall develop suitable plans and strategies collectively for the academic schools to seek approval from the VC office and AB, as well as effectively managing the resources to achieve the established objectives.
  • He shall organize frequent meetings for the preparation of academic documents and ensure timely submission of proposals and programs for approval.
  • The Director-LTR shall carry out any other duties assigned by the Chairman, Board of Governors, the Academic Board, and the Vice Chancellor.
  • He will also coordinate the admission processes for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  • In summary, the Director-LTR plays a crucial role in managing the academic functions, providing leadership to all academic staff and faculty, administering research and teaching, supporting students for progression and graduation, and overseeing the activities of each academic year.
Requirements
  • A Doctorate qualification with teaching is a must, preferably in management fields.
  • At least 5 years’ hands-on experience as Rector/ Vice Rector of a local university or Director of Studies (DOS) in an overseas university
  • At least 5-10 years of professional corporate experience at senior management level
  • Developer/ reviewer of programs in major business and management disciplines
  • Strong network of teaching and research faculty
  • Fluent in English. You are expected to communicate daily in English
  • Highly competent in research, teaching pedagogy and assessment methods.
  • Possess good computer skills (MS Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.)
  • Strong work ethics, responsible and a passion for teaching.
