Duties
  • KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan, execute and evaluate a departmental induction/onboarding program specific to new hires. Conduct new hire orientation training twice a month.
  • Develop tailor made English training lessons for specific departments.
  • To arrange and deliver regular English classes for all team members to enhance the overall level of English communication.
  • Assist in recommending, develop and schedule training of Human Resources department and other departments.
  • Initiate, co-ordinate, execute and follow-up on all departmental training activities. Ensuring that they are aligned and relevant to hotel and departmental goals and objectives, as well as complementing the resort training plan and programs.
  • Provide support and development of Departmental Trainers in form of group meetings, observation of trainings and individual feedback.
  • Supervise and assist in SOP and Policies & Procedures trainings, use of training checklists and monthly training plans.
  • Provide and support cross-training and professional development opportunities.
  • Assists Department Head to identify individual talent and plan for career development.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all sections, hotel services/features and hours of operation and ensuring employee’s knowledge is up to date.
  • Develop internal training competencies and establishes training structure for on-the-job training that will support career development and advancement of team members.
  • Keep track of the training hour goals /employee/year and include this in the monthly and annual training report.
  • To ensure on-going training on all employees meet the Song Saa standards in relation to communication, customer service, health and safety and hazard awareness.
  • Provide support and monitor departmental trainers.
  • Order and manage inventory of training materials and supplies.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Administration
  • To ensure all team member training files are up to date at all times.
  • To issue training certificates.
  • To develop and maintain human resources training databases computer software systems and manual filing systems in accordance with the HR audit requirements.
  • To maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning team member’s related data such as, performance appraisals, internship records, training attendance, HR events and activities, exit interviews, English class attendance, employee surveys.
  • Prepare monthly training calendars, staff activities calendars such as birthday, parties, team buildings.
  • Encode all training information and attendance in Bamboo HR system.
  • Translation of official and non-official Song Saa documents, training files from Khmer to English or English to Khmer languages.
  • Tracing and putting forward all schedules internship (local & international) and other administrative requirements.
  • To ensure internship feedback, internship evaluation is completed by all interns.
  • Send out emails on Song Saa Superstars nomination.
  • Team & Team Development
  • To ensure the disciplinary and grievance procedure is carried out in accordance with best practice, as and when necessary. Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
  • To ensure that all new Department Heads and supervisors are inducted in all matters relating to human resources.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language; Ensure proper welcoming of new employee is in place with all necessary preparation includes welcome pack preparation, orientation schedule, first three months meeting with employee and Department Head
  • Responsible for arranging and monitoring induction for all employees upon arrival and until probationary period. Department buddy to be assigned.
  • Assist Human Resources Manager in relation to administration of employee performance reviews and identifies performance gaps that can be addressed by training.
  • Communication & Team Recognition
  • To assist HRM for the planning and conducting Song Saa Superstars awards, Song Saa Heroes, long service awards, honesty and organize all monthly and annual celebration. This includes coordinating and organizing social events together with the HR Team which includes birthdays, hospital visits, religious celebrations, monk blessings, recognition programs, and other related social activities.
  • To assist with all matters relating to employee welfare. This will include assisting with Karuna Village, events & activities and accommodation.
  • General
  • Maintain good contact with Local Authority (Chief Atoll, Police, Medical facilities).
  • To develop and maintain relationships with employment agencies, universities /colleges, local schools and other recruitment sources.
  • To project a smart image at all times by complying fully with the grooming and dress regulations and by maintaining the highest level of personal hygiene. Also to ensure all team members comply with the standards.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skill to be able to provide day to day service to employees visiting HR office.
  • Maintains cleanliness and maintenance of the work area and all HR equipment. Report any broken furniture and equipment.
  • Maintain high confidentiality level of all information coming through HR office official or non-official and keeping all the information within the professional boundaries of HR team.

  • General:
  • Establishing and maintain an efficient and effective staff database, a workable HR filing and record archiving system to monitor dates relating to probationary periods, performance management, annual leave and sickness absence etc.
  • To assist the Asst HR & Training Manager in ensuring all applications or resumes of candidates are replied, recorded and maintain in a professional way
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed at commencement of employment for all resort based employees as per the commencement checklist
  • To assist the Asst HR & T Manager in arranging and monitoring induction for all team members upon arrival. This will include co-ordinating with the Team Village Manager regarding accommodation.
  • Assist in ensuring that all administration/reports are followed up and completed with statistical data.
  • Maintains and updates employee files and permanent records and provides a monthly Master Staff Database report for the HR & Training Manager.

  • Ensure all legal requirements are met when processing work visa and ensuring all records are updated and maintained.
  • Administration
  • To ensure all team member files are up to date with correct legal documents and all administration is carried out as required.
  • To develop and maintain human resources data-bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems in accordance with the HR audit requirements.
  • Identify labour laws and regulations pertaining to the employment and administration of personnel. Maintain updated work permit / Visa records. Monitor employee passports expiry and act accordingly to save incidental costs and maintain optimal staff strength.

  • General:
