Duties
  • Carry out in-line inspections, ensuring that products meet company standards from all production sections, including components, assembly, and final packing.
  • Continuously monitor and double-check the quality control processes of each production section, ensuring adherence to our company’s quality standards.
  • Conduct and oversee attachment and component testing, including eyes-pull tests and other parts testing, to ensure product safety and quality compliance.
  • Review and verify sewing instructions and the quality of initial product output, confirming they align with approved standards.
  • Regularly check production samples and reference materials (e.g., Gold Seal samples, visual guides) to ensure accuracy in size, shape, materials, stuffing, and labeling.
  • Perform quality checks on products post-stuffing, during finishing, and at the packing stage to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Inspect incoming materials, comparing them with approved samples and swatches, and identify discrepancies as needed.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC staff at vendor sites to educate them on our quality standards and product specifications.
  • Actively engage in meetings with sewing leaders, QC supervisors, and production managers to identify and resolve any safety or quality issues, providing effective solutions promptly.
  • Conduct routine weekly meetings to address quality issues, propose solutions, and engage in monthly meetings to analyze defect rates and set improvement targets for the next month.
  • Assist in conducting final inspections based on standards, approving production samples for the sewing line as required.
  • Manage and communicate any customer complaints to the factory, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of quality inspection experience in the Garment, Toys, or Footwear industries.
  • Familiarity with quality control techniques and production processes relevant to the industry.
  • A degree in Textile/Garment Engineering is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently with strong task prioritization and time management skills.
  • English and Chinese communication skills

Job description

As the QC Manager, you will be responsible for managing the entire quality control process, ensuring that our products meet stringent quality standards from raw materials through to finished goods. You will oversee a team of quality inspectors, collaborate with production and QC staff at vendor sites, and work closely with factory leadership to drive quality improvements and resolve any quality-related issues. Additionally, you will work closely with the QC Manager in Vietnam and coworkers across locations to ensure consistency in product quality standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Duties
  • Develop, implement, and oversee quality control processes, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations across all production stages.
  • Carry out in-line inspections, ensuring that products meet company standards from all production sections, including components, assembly, and final packing.
  • Manage and lead a team of quality inspectors, providing training, support, and guidance on quality standards, inspection techniques, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits of quality control processes at the factory, including in-line inspections, random checks, and final product inspections, ensuring adherence to standards and specifications.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the production and quality control processes, collaborating with production management to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Oversee attachment and component testing, such as eyes-pull and part-pulling tests, as well as random sampling tests to ensure product safety and durability.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to maintain quality standards, providing them with training and clear guidelines on our quality expectations.
  • Manage and resolve customer complaints related to product quality, implementing corrective actions and working with factory management to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection processes, audit results, and corrective actions. Prepare and present weekly and monthly quality reports to senior management, summarizing defect rates, recurring issues, and improvements.
  • Ensure that production samples align with approved reference samples (e.g., Gold Seal samples) regarding size, shape, materials, stuffing, and labeling.
  • Conduct regular meetings with production, QC teams, vendors to review defect rates, discuss improvement strategies, and set quality objectives for upcoming production cycles.
  • Work closely with the QC Manager in Vietnam and other coworkers across locations to ensure alignment and consistency in quality standards
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quality control management within the garment, toys, or footwear industry, with proven expertise in quality inspection processes and standards.
  • A degree in Quality Management, Textile or Garment Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing a quality control team in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth understanding of quality control techniques, production processes, and relevant industry standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in process improvement and corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in English and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and vendor staff.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production schedules and demands, and willingness to address quality issues proactively.
