The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 250 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 22 nationalities and includes 5 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training.

The position is based in the Medical Biology Laboratory for Microbiology laboratory.
Position Overview
The Laboratory Technician will play a key role in supporting the Medical Biology Laboratory at the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC). The successful candidate will be responsible for performing essential laboratory tests and analyses in Microbiology, contributing to the lab's commitment to high-quality test.
Recruitment conditions:

Position: Full-time.
Contract: The initial contract is offered for 1 year (renewable).
Start Date: Available to start on December 16th 2024

Duties
Conduct microbiological analyses, managing each step from the pre-analytical phase to technical validation, in line with good laboratory practices and procedures.
Maintain workstations and laboratory equipment, performing regular maintenance and adhering to lab protocols.
Ensure timely completion of both internal and external quality controls.
Computerize test results into Laboratory Information System accurately and efficiently.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and enhancement of the laboratory's quality management system, in compliance with ISO 15189 standards.
Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays according to the team schedule.
Participate in ongoing education and training to keep knowledge up-to-date.
Requirements
Fresh graduated is accepted; Students who are completing their studies in 2024 also can apply.
Technical diploma or certificate in the field of medical biology.
Knowledge in Microbiology.
Familiar with good laboratory practices
Good team work, communication, rigorous and autonomous
