Operation ASHA is an INGO dedicated to deliver healthcare services to the disadvantages in community, with a particular focusing on detecting and treating Tuberculosis (TB). We –Op-ASHA- serves in India and Cambodia, and our care model has been replicated in parts of Africa as well. In Cambodia, we work closely with the National Tuberculosis Program over 36 operational districts (OD), in 11 provinces, such as Phnom Penh, Kandal, Takeo, Kampot, Preah Sihanouk, Kampong Speu, Kep, Kosh Kong, Kampong Chhnang, Pursat and Siem Reap province serving 53% of the total population. Under the Global Fund (GC-7) support to the early TB case detection and treatment in the target areas, Operation ASHA is looking for suitably qualified candidates to coordinate, facilitate and manage TB care delivery program across 3 operational districts (OD) in 3 provinces to coordinate the TB screening and ensure early diagnosis and improve access to TB care. The successful candidates will be based in the following operational districts:

Sotnikum Operational District (Sotnikum OD), Siem Reap province: 1 position

Kep Operational District (Kep OD), Kep province: 1 position

Successful candidates will be remunerated, based on experience and level of competency.

Duties
  • Team Management
  • Work closely partnership with the operational district TB supervisor (OD TB Supervisor), health center (HC) TB nurse to screen the TB suspects in the high burden community in the villages and pagodas/mosques/churches
  • Oversight project implementation and troubleshot all issues in the field to ensure smooth patient’s pathway from detection to treatment.
  • Compile the daily reports and send the report to M&E at end of day, end of month
  • Validate patient cases and check patient treatment cards on regular basis
  • Ensure Field Staffs follow national guidelines
  • Keep a record of screening/detection for every session
  • Responsible for verifying, updating the patient database in partnership with the OD TB Supervisor
  • Report the progress update to the Program Director for the weekly team meeting
  • Coordination with Other Stakeholders
  • Report important indicators on weekly basis to the Program Director
  • Ensure smooth sputum collection and submission by keeping a check on the number of samples sent for diagnosis and their results from the Lab on daily basis
  • Coordinate with sputum collector to monitor the efficiency of counselors in case-finding
  • Coordinate with ODs/RH for referral follow up, patient registration and other purposes

  • Contribute to the agenda and assist/lead the staff weekly meetings
  • Participate in the monthly meetings with OD/RH
  • Travel to province on behalf of program manager for administrative/supervision tasks
  • Act on additional tasks assigned by Country Director/Program Director
Requirements
  • Post graduate/graduate Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Good understanding and knowledge on health
  • Experience with health-related field
  • Proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Expertise in collecting and compiling data, develop report and data analysis
  • Able to work in a team setting
  • Fluency in English (written and speaking)
  • Ability to travel frequently including to province
 

Public Private Mix Coordinator (1 Position) Apply Now

PPM-DOTS Coordinator: 1 position, based in Takeo province

Successful candidates will be remunerated, based on experience and level of competency.

Duties
  • To collect and enter the data related to PPM-DOTS project activities in the coverage areas into the data management tools, which include the presumptive TB patients of each and every private provider into the PPM Master Data, and PPM daily report templates on the daily basis;
  • To communicate and build good relationship with the public health facilities and the private providers;
  • To conduct the supportive visit and provide feedback to the private providers about the results of their referral cases;
  • To liaise between the public facilities and private providers;
  • To prepare the PPM-DOTS reports on the timely basis;
  • To attend the conference, training, workshop as requested;
  • To perform other assigned tasks, as requested.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of prior experiences in healthcare sector, preferably on communicable diseases. Candidates with other relevant experience may also apply.
  • Proficiency in computer (Microsoft word, excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in dynamic environment & execute day to day project activities independently.
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills (Excellent Khmer and Good English language)
