Ponlok Chomnes Program Director
The Asia Foundation’s (TAF) Cambodia office seeks a dynamic and experienced Ponlok Chomnes Program Director who will strategically lead, oversee, direct the Ponlok Chomnes program, and manage the program team and other colleagues in The Asia Foundation office in Cambodia to implement the Ponlok Chomnes II program. The incumbent will report to the Country Representative.
- Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience implementing civic engagement, knowledge sector, research, public policy, youth engagement, governance or gender programs in Asia. Cambodia experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading international development projects
- Strong team management skills critical
- Familiarity with managing Australian-funded programs desireable.
- Excellent program management skills and experience, including designing new activities, adapting program activities to contextual changes or opportunities, establishing monitoring and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with donor regulations, and identifying solutions to implementation challenges.
- Excellent financial management skills including effective budget oversight.
- Excellent written communication skills, including report writing.
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Substantive knowledge and technical expertise in research, including qualitative and quantitative methods and/or public policy dialogue programs/civic engagement initiatives is an advantage
- Education:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as political or social science, public policy, governance, public administration, development studies, gender studies, or international development.
- Other:
- Strong participatory leadership.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated competence in working with international and local counterparts.
- Fluency in written and spoken English. Khmer language preferred.
