Location: Siem Reap, field-based, with some time in the office
Hours: Full-time Monday-Friday
- Work with children with disabilities and their families at their homes in villages around Siem Reap; primarily field-based with daily travel by motorbike, tuk-tuk, or van.
- Work with Cambodian and foreign colleagues to make assessments, identify and build on children’s and families’ strengths, develop treatment plans and set goals, educate and encourage parents and caregivers, and provide and adapt rehab equipment.
- Recognize when the child needs a home adaptation and discuss with caregivers about child’s safety.
- Orientation to Safe Haven’s overall mission, policies, and strategies
- Orientation and ongoing training for the role and responsibilities

- Physiotherapy qualification (new graduates are welcome to apply)
- Comfortable using Google Docs and Sheets, email, and the internet
- A member of Cambodia Physical Therapy Association in the present year
- Good English skills (spoken and written) and Khmer fluency/literacy
- Must have flexibility, patience, and enthusiasm for learning new skills
- Able to work independently in the community and also as part of a team
- Interested in working with children with disabilities and their families
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable communicating one-on-one and in small groups, enjoy sharing skills and knowledge with colleagues
- Able to advocate for vulnerable children and families
