Physics Teacher
START: AUGUST 2025
- Teachers at AUPP are expected to work collaboratively in order to provide a positive educational experience for its students.
- Full time teachers are required to provide 20 hours of classroom instruction per week.
- Teachers are expected to hold “office hours” to provide individual help to students. These hours are not expected to be held outside the normal working day.
- Teachers will be asked to facilitate an after-class activity, such as a club or group pursuit. Examples of this may be a book club, Model UN, debate club, jogging club. The time parameters of this expectation will be determined by the activity. Stipends may be paid depending on time commitment.
- Must be capable of teaching Advanced Placement Physics I
- Educational degree(s) reflecting intimate knowledge of science.
- This may include Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Earth Science, Geography
- Experience or ability to teach Tech subjects such as Robotics or ICT is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of the Advanced Placement curriculum is a plus but not required. Those who have taught IB or Cambridge A-Level Physics will be considered
- Teaching certificate is a plus but not required.
- 3 years of teaching experience preferred.
- All courses are taught in English, therefore proficiency in English is imperative.
- Being a native English speaker is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be passionate about learning and teaching.
