Location: NCHADS-AHF Clinic (ART Clinic 3)
- Reviews prescriptions issued by AHF Providers or other authorized prescribers to assure accuracy and clinical appropriateness.
- Prepares, fills and compounds drugs ordered by AHF physicians and other authorized personnel.
- Supervise pharmacy personnel engaged in mixing, packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals.
- Answers questions and provides information to patients and providers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals.
- Maintains established policies and procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
- Manages appropriate data collection, such as client name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.
- Ensure that each patient is well understood how to take the drug.
- Involve in monitoring patient response to treatment, drug/drug and drug/disease interactions,
- Work with physicians in managing the drug regimens of patients with chronic disease states (e.g. diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.).
- Performs a monthly stock count/inventory of the pharmacy.
- Capacity to facilitate with other clinics to ensure no drug item will be out of stock
- Conduct report and record stock in-out regularly and do request as schedule
- Assists the Pharmacy Manager in preparing a quarterly drug forecast.
- Provides Pharmacy Manager with statistical data as required
- Ensure that the Pharmacy is maintained in a safe, sanitary and professional manner.
- Perform other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinate with NCHADS and CMS on quarterly ARV drugs/ or incase shortage
- Assist site coordinator monthly budget to operation at site (OI-drug)
- Ensure the drug request by monthly or quarterly to NCHADS, CMS
- Play coordination role with team leader ART satellite site where there is no site coordinator
- Provide support, as needed, to ART satellite site on procurement, pharmacy stock and inventory, maintenance for safety, sanitary,
- Work with team at satellite site per request to assist in preparing, filling and compounding drugs
- Perform other duties may be assigned at satellite site
- English - Good
- Bachelor's Degree in science pharmacy and Degree in Medicine is preferred
- Supply management, management of pharmacy in hospital or clinic for 5 years
- Ability to write and speak English.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office – Word processing, databases, spreadsheets, presentation software, Internet research and electronic mail use
- Good communication, negotiation, bargaining and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Make decisions and solve problems in complex situations.
