Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), a non-profit organization, is a global organization providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy regardless of ability to pay to patient’s more than 2 million in 48 countries. AHF has its bureaus in four regions including Africa, Asia, Europe and America. AHF Asia Bureau, is located in Phnom Penh, is operating its activities in a number of countries in Asia such as: Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, and LAOS.

Currently, AHF Cambodia is seeking for a full time qualified and experienced candidate for the positions of Peer/Drug Educator based in Siem Reap Referral Hospital.

Position Summary
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work as receptionist for client registration,
  • Issue patient flow sheet and record patients coming for regular consultation,
  • Provide counseling and education to clients who come to clinic related to ART,
  • Assist clinicians to prepare client filling system,
  • Facilitate patient flow at OPD, laboratory or to other services,
  • Ensure client’s adherence to medications,
  • Regulate/arrange patient's appointment for laboratory testing,
  • Issue appointment card for patients and record the next appointment date,
  • Track and record PLHIV on ART into database or other relevant registers,
  • Ensure the maintenance of appropriate, accurate, and clear documentation of all, outreach, education, case management and group activities – report writing,
  • Work in collaboration with physicians to track appointment patients, patient follow up and drop out,
  • Provide support linkage to PLHIV in relation to legal help, nutritional support,
  • Participate in need assessment, project development and implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the program including training,
  • Assist rapid testing and prevention program activities and events upon request such as training, testing events,
  • Ensure the sanitation within clinic and always keep clean,
  • Conduct fast track clients for improving clinic flow and infection control.
  • Facilitate PLHIV referred to others service in needed
  • Facilitate patients to register PMRS at hospital, laboratory or to other services
Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Science, or related field
Work History:
  • Experience working with key population such as EW/ MSM, youth, and communities, social work, counseling skills, ability to solve problems, youth activities for 2 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and others
  • Should have counseling, communication and interpersonal skills
Soft Skills
  • Ability to communicate well with patients. Excellent customer service skills.
  • Should have a client focused approach and a pleasant personality
