Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC) is a non-profit organization providing free medical care to children in Siem Reap. AHC is looking for a highly motivated individual who can fill the Pediatric Surgeon.
The successful applicant will be a person who is highly motivated to learn and further develop their skills working for a NGO non-profit hospital.
- Work full time as a Pediatric Surgeon at AHC.

- Diploma of Pediatric Surgeon or higher from Institution recognized by Ministry of Education Youths and Sport, Cambodia.
- General Surgeon who has experiences or handle Pediatric patients.

- Flexible working times and ability to work day or night and on call.
- Ability to build good inter-personal relationships.
- Good command of English and Khmer (written / spoken / comprehension).
- Computer literacy.
- Able to work in a team environment involving different departments and will be able to work in any units as required by hospital.

Ophthalmologist

Working Hours : 40 hours per week
General Description
Ophthalmologist is responsible for examining and managing patients both at the outpatient eye clinic and those patients who are admitted for ophthalmologic problems.
- Ophthalmologic Responsibilities:
- Eye examination, consultation and prescription in Eye Clinic and OPD.
- Inpatients admitted for ophthalmologic problem.
- Consulting physician for patients with medical problems who have a secondary ophthalmologic issue.
- Eye surgery in OT
- Minimum two elective cases per week.
- Emergency cases as needed
- Minor procedure cases in Eye minor procedure room.
- On call for emergency cases following on call schedule.
- Assist volunteer ophthalmologists and actively make an effort to learn from them.
- General pediatric responsibilities
- Join Introduction module organized by medical education.
- Work full time at Eye Clinic after finishing probation period.
- Attend General Doctor meeting each month.
- Educational Responsibilities
- Attend English classes.
- Join Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program.
- Attend CME activities like Journal Club and Mortality Meetings.
- Keep up to date with current ophthalmologic practices and share any new information with other medical staff.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment, prognosis, and basic eye care including preventative care such as hygiene and injury prevention.
- Provide lectures related to eyes disease as requested.
- Provide regular teaching in the Eye Clinic.
- Join oncology weekly meeting as schedule.
- Medical Doctor specialized in Ophthalmology or higher from an institution recognized by Ministry of Education Youths and Sport, Cambodia.
- Willing to learn and improve knowledge.
- Flexible working times and ability to work day and on call basis.
- Ability to build good inter-personal relationships.
- Good command of English and Khmer (written / spoken / comprehension).

Laboratory Technician

Working hours : 40-45hours/week
Salary & benefits : Based on the employment contract
The Laboratory Technician will assist with conducting the laboratory tests from all departments of the hospital. He/she will also be responsible for keeping up to date on current standard medical laboratory practices.
- Conduct laboratory tests ordered by doctors in a timely manner according to assigned priority.
- Draw patient blood when needed, try minimize patient pain during blood draw and explain procedure to caretaker and patient as appropriate.
- Work cooperatively in the team.
- Keep laboratory clean in good order, and ensure hygiene is maintained
- Follow the infection control policy.
- Attention to detail, and conscientious.
- Inform Lab Manager immediately in case of broken equipment or shortage of reagents
- Participate in lab team discussions about interesting or difficult issues and problems
- Lab Tech Certificate
- Able to read and write in English using technical laboratory vocabulary
