Position Summary

The Lifeguard & PE Teacher is a dual-role position responsible for ensuring the safety of students during aquatic activities and delivering engaging, age-appropriate physical education lessons across the K–12 curriculum. The role supports the school’s mission to promote health, fitness, and student well-being in a safe and inclusive environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Swim Duties
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging swimming lessons for students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Teach water safety, basic to advanced swimming techniques, and stroke development.
  • Supervise students during swimming classes, extracurricular activities, and events.
  • Ensure the safety of all students in and around the pool, enforcing pool rules at all times.
  • Conduct daily safety checks of pool facilities and equipment.
  • Administer first aid, CPR, or emergency care when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order around the pool area.
  • Collaborate with PE teachers to support overall physical education goals.
  • PE Coach Duties
  • Plan and deliver PE lessons aligned with international curriculum standards
  • Teach fundamental movement skills, team sports, fitness, and health education.
  • Differentiate instruction for various age groups and abilities (K–12).
  • Organize school sports events, inter-house competitions, and after-school activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle.
  • Volleyball Coaching Duties
  • Design and lead volleyball training sessions for middle and high school students.
  • Develop student-athletes’ skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Organize inter-house tournaments and after-school volleyball clubs.
  • Coach school volleyball teams for competitions.

Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.
Work History:
  • Minimum of experience in teaching PE and/or lifeguarding in a school setting for 2 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Valid Lifeguard Certification (e.g., Red Cross, RLSS, or equivalent).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (required).
  • Strong swimming and water safety skills.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with international or multicultural student populations is a plus.
Soft Skills
  • Passion for student development and physical wellness.

Position Summary

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils, staff, and visitors using the school’s swimming facilities. The role involves maintaining vigilant supervision of the pool area, enforcing safety standards, providing immediate response in emergencies, and supporting the smooth daily operation of the swimming pool in line with the school’s safeguarding and health & safety policies.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Safety
  • Maintain constant and vigilant supervision of all pool users.
  • Prevent accidents and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
  • Carry out rescues, first aid, and CPR as required.
  • Enforce all pool rules and school safety regulations in a polite and professional manner.
  • Ensure safeguarding principles are upheld at all times, with particular regard to the welfare of pupils.
  • Operational Support
  • Conduct regular safety checks on poolside equipment, signage, and facilities.
  • Assist with the setup and clearing away of equipment for lessons, training sessions, and school events.
  • Monitor and report water quality, hygiene, and maintenance issues to the Pool Manager.
  • Undertake routine cleaning and hygiene tasks to ensure a safe and pleasant environment.
  • Support the safe and efficient running of school and community swimming programmes.
  • Communication and Reporting
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or near misses in accordance with school procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by the Swimming Pool Manager.
  • Liaise professionally with staff, pupils, parents, and external users of the pool facility.
  • Training and Compliance
  • Participate in regular in-service training, safety drills, and staff briefings.
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications in lifesaving, first aid, and safeguarding.
  • Adhere to all relevant school and regulatory health & safety requirements.

Position Summary

The nanny provides care and supervision for young children at school, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. The role supports teachers and parents by creating a nurturing, hygienic, and safe environment where children can learn, play, and grow.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and care for children during school hours, breaks, and designated activities.
  • Assist children with daily routines, including eating, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
  • Monitor children’s behavior and ensure safety at all times.
  • Support children in developing social, emotional, and communication skills.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning, and recreational activities.
  • Report any accidents, illnesses, or unusual behavior to teachers or the HR Department immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of classrooms, play areas, and sleeping/rest areas.
