We have been working in Siem Reap since 2011

Outreach Nurse

Position Circumstances

  • Salary: $400 - $850 Based on Experience
Position Summary

Only for Cambodian experience with disabilities preferred

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work with children with disabilities and their families in their homes in villages around Siem Reap, primarily in a field-based setting.
  • Work with Cambodian and foreign colleagues to make health assessments, identify and build on children’s and families’ strengths, develop treatment plans and set goals, educate and encourage parents and caregivers, and accompany children and families to appointments with other healthcare providers.

Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • Khmer - Fluent
  • English - Good
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (new graduates are welcome to apply)
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Qualification in Nursing: registered with the Cambodian Council of Nurses.
  • Able to advocate for children in health care settings
  • Able to use Microsoft Office, email, Google Drive, and the internet
  • Intermediate or higher English (spoken and written) and Khmer fluency/literacy
  • Responsible for handling cash and receipts.
  • Able to drive Motor to home visits and other appointments
Soft Skills
  • Must have a Flexible attitude, creative problem-solving skills, open to new ideas and perspectives
  • Able to work independently in the community and also as part of a team
  • Enthusiastic in community work, especially working with children with disabilities and their families
  • Eager to learn and use new skills, especially those related to disability specialization
  • Good communication skills; able to work as a team, enjoy sharing knowledge and experience through the Safe Haven’s activities.
