ACCB is seeking a dynamic Outreach & Education Manager to lead our environmental education department at ACCB. The successful candidate will work closely with the Country Director and colleagues to develop and implement an Environmental Outreach & Education Strategy, as well as oversee the improvement and creation of environmental education projects. Additionally, the Outreach & Education Manager will play a key role in building the capacity of ACCB’s team. The Outreach & Education Manager will also be expected to support various activities at ACCB, such as special events, fundraising, animal rescue and release operations, and administrative tasks. Flexibility is essential, as the Outreach & Education Manager will be on call for emergencies. This position is ideal for someone passionate about conservation and education. Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Outreach & Education Manager at ACCB is responsible for overseeing and executing all conservation outreach and education initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the environmental education team, assist in developing long-term strategies for conservation education, outreach, and awareness projects. This position involves close coordination with Curators and the Head of Admin & Finance, reporting directly to the Country Director.
Duty Station: ACCB, Kbal Spean, Phnom Kulen National Park
- Provide leadership for the environmental education team at ACCB
- Developing and implementing the Environmental Education Strategy
- Creating and enhancing environmental education projects and materials
- Organizing and participating in outreach, awareness and education events
- Conducting educational tours English and Khmer for visitors at ACCB as needed
- Representing ACCB at meetings, workshops, and events as needed
- Providing support in translating documents between English and Khmer
- Ensure the ongoing training and development of the environmental education department employees
- Develop and sustain partnerships with tour operators
- Assist in the supervision of interns, students, and volunteers as needed
- Report writing, assisting in fundraising activities and grant application writing as needed
- Keep accurate records on outreach and education events
- Prepare budget request and responsibly manage allocated budgets
- Identify safety hazards and develop mitigations
- Other duties as assigned

- Bachelor's Degree in teaching, biology, or a related field, or proven equivalent work experience is required
- Prior experience in teaching or training at schools or environmental education projects is required
- Commitment to conservation is a must
- Experience in collaborating with government departments is preferred
- Capacity to produce high-quality briefs and reports in both Khmer and English
- Competence in Microsoft Office
- Good communication skills and strong facilitation and capacity building skills
- Effective coordination skills to work with the community, local authorities, and national partners
- Capability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations by finding solutions and adjusting to changing circumstances
- Strong communications skills and interpersonal skills, as well as a proactive and positive work attitude
- Willing to take initiative
- Willing to travel for outreach events
- A valid driving license for cars is required
