We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and coordinate the company's internal operations and ensure that people, processes, systems, resources, and controls operate efficiently and effectively.

Position Summary

Department: Operations

Reports To: Senior Management

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the company's internal operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day activities, effective implementation of policies, SOPs and workflows, operational compliance, risk control, service quality, and continuous improvement.

The role works closely with Management, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Business Development, and other relevant functions to ensure effective operational coordination, execution, and performance across the organization.

The Operations Manager will provide operational leadership and oversight across internal processes, resources, controls, reporting, and improvement initiatives to support the company's overall operational excellence and business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Internal Operations Management
  • Oversee and coordinate the company's day-to-day internal operational activities.
  • Ensure operational processes are clearly defined, properly implemented, and consistently followed.
  • Coordinate operational activities across relevant departments and functions.
  • Monitor operational resources and ensure effective utilization.
  • Identify operational issues and coordinate timely resolution.
  • . Policy, SOP & Workflow Management
  • Develop, review, implement, and maintain operational policies, SOPs, procedures, and workflows.
  • Ensure employees understand and follow approved procedures.
  • Monitor SOP implementation and identify gaps or areas for improvement.
  • Maintain proper operational documentation and records.
  • Ensure changes to processes are properly communicated and implemented.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure internal operations comply with applicable regulatory requirements, Trust Regulator requirements, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with Legal & Compliance on operational compliance matters.
  • Support the implementation of corporate governance and internal control requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate operational records and supporting documentation are maintained.
  • Escalate significant compliance or operational issues to Management and relevant functions.
  • Operational Risk & Internal Controls
  • Identify, assess, and monitor operational risks.
  • Recommend and implement appropriate controls to reduce operational risks.
  • Monitor control effectiveness and follow up on identified weaknesses.
  • Support incident reporting, investigation, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, control, and risk awareness.
  • Reporting & KPI Management
  • Prepare regular operational reports for Management.
  • Develop and maintain operational KPI dashboards.
  • Monitor operational performance against agreed targets.
  • Analyze operational data and identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide Management with clear recommendations based on operational performance.
  • Process Improvement & Digitalization
  • Lead and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Apply structured improvement methods such as PDCA, Lean, and Kaizen where appropriate.
  • Identify inefficient, duplicated, or manual processes and recommend improvements.
  • Support digitalization and automation of operational processes.
  • Measure the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal & Compliance, Business Development, and other relevant functions on operational matters.
  • Ensure effective communication and handover between departments.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders when required.
  • Follow up on cross-functional action items and ensure timely completion.
  • Audit & Control Support
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Coordinate the preparation of required documents, records, and operational evidence.
  • Follow up on audit findings and corrective action plans.
  • Monitor the implementation of agreed corrective and preventive actions.
  • Office Administration & Resources
  • Oversee general operational administration and office resources.
  • Ensure appropriate systems, facilities, documents, and resources are available for effective business operations.
  • Monitor operational expenses and resource utilization where applicable.
  • Ensure appropriate administrative controls are maintained.
  • Service Quality
  • Monitor operational service quality and efficiency.
  • Identify service delivery issues and coordinate improvements.
  • Support the development of service standards and customer-focused processes.
  • Promote professional, timely, accurate, and reliable service delivery.

Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • English - Good
  • Chinese - Basic is preferred
  • Khmer - Fluent is required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Law, Management, or a related field.
Work History:
  • Management or supervisory experience, preferably in banking, financial services, trust companies, insurance, corporate services, or other regulated industries for 5 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Strong understanding of operations management, internal controls, and corporate governance.
  • Experience in developing and implementing SOPs, policies, workflows, and operational controls.
  • Experience in operational reporting and KPI management.
  • Good understanding of risk management and compliance principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Khmer language is required; Chinese language is an advantage.
Soft Skills
