Job Description

Based in Phnom Penh, the Operations Coordinator (OC) plays a key role in the organization, execution and delivery of daily operations in Phnom Penh and Cambodia. Working closely with the sales teams to ensure that all booked services including transport services, transfers, guides, resturants and accommodations are booked, confirmed and re-confirmed for all of Khiri Travel’s pax on the ground. The Operations Coordinator will ensure that all correct business partner branding is being appropriately used and utilized.

Reporting to: General Manager / Operations Manager

This role profile is not exhaustive; it will be subject to periodic review and may be amended from time to time to meet the needs of the business.

Duties
  • To organize and arrange services for clients in Phnom Penh and when required other destinations within Cambodia
  • To manage and ensure excellent quality of service levels from guides and transport suppliers
  • To manage the relationship with some local ground suppliers
  • To conduct regular quality inspection trips of transport vehicles, guides, hotels and products and to provide meaningful reports for management
  • Identify areas of concern or needed attention, and improve overall company performance and client experience
  • Prepare management reports as needed to assess productivity, efficiencies and performance
  • Be an ambassador of the Khiri Travel value proposition, brand, mission, and values
Requirements
  • Cambodian National
  • Excellent command in spoken and written English
  • At least 2-3 years of work experience in a DMC, travel agency or hospitality business
  • Able to thrive under pressure
  • Possess excellent time management
  • Problem-solving mentality
  • Positive attitude, sincere desire to learn on the job and open to continuous growth and development
  • Responsible team player who can thrive working independently

Duties
  • Design and quote itineraries as requested and according to the companies’ strategic partnerships and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Provide travel information, give suggestion and advise alternatives on the travel requests
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Recognize product trends and report to appropriate departments
  • Building long-term relationship with our overseas partners and suppliers
  • Assist with reservations and Customer Relations matters where necessary

Requirements
  • Cambodia national
  • Experience: candidates with 1 to 2 years of experience in travel companies preferred, fresh “go getter” tourism graduates considered.
  • Bachelor degree – preferably in Tourism or Hospitality
  • Deep interest in local and regional travel
  • Sales oriented
  • A strong team player with positive attitude
  • Excellent in English communications
  • Passionate about travel
  • Outgoing personality and good appearance
