Announcement Description

Kawsang, as an FHI-360 - CSS Innovation Lab grantee will host the Idea Sprint: a 5-day intensive co-design program. The program uses the design thinking approach—the approach that has been used in a variety of contexts globally in exploring new ideas and fostering collaboration across organizations and disciplines.


Our aim for the Idea Sprint program is to identify specific advocacy and capacity-building challenges in our respective fields of focus, and to encourage testing new approaches and/or tools to address these challenges. Strategic communication and awareness-raising in your respective fields are our primary focus. Selected prototypes and ideas will be eligible for Strategic Communication and Awareness (SCA) grant funding from the FHI 360-CSS -- a USAID funded project.

Why should you participate in the Idea Sprint?

You will gain:

1. LEARNING: You will gain working knowledge and first-hand experience of Human-Centered Design

methodology that is used globally, in corporate, development, governance, and educational contexts to

solve their toughest problems.

2. COLLABORATION: You will interact with a wide network of fellow CSS grantees and participants working

on real problems and challenges. There’s a good chance you will be able to extend these collaborations to

your work after the program.

3. SUPPORT FOR INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS: A chance to be selected as a grantee of Strategic Communication

and Awareness (SCA) grants (up to $100,000 per grantee team of 5 representatives from different

organisations.)


Who from your organization should attend the Idea Sprint?

A director or a program manager level, having in-depth experience of your organization's strategic communication and awareness raising and the organization's vision, and who could commit to taking part in the five full days event.

When and Where?

It will be held from Monday, 24th October until Friday 28th October 2022, in Phnom Penh (venue to be

announced soon).
