One to One Teaching Assistant

As a one-to-one teaching assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational and emotional development of our incredible students. You will work closely with the inclusion teacher, classroom teacher, parents, and other professionals to ensure that the student receives personalized attention and achieves their maximum potential.
- Supporting the student in a range of subjects, helping them engage with the curriculum and complete tasks.
- Developing an understanding of the student’s unique needs and adapting support strategies accordingly.
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being through patience, encouragement, and consistency.
- Working with teaching staff to prepare resources and adapt materials to suit the student’s learning style.
- Supporting the student in social situations during break times or school activities.
- Keeping detailed records of progress, challenges, and achievements to inform planning and review meetings.
- Liaising with teachers, the SENCO, parents/carers, and external professionals as required.
- This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. It requires flexibility, creativity, and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
