Nutritionist
Holt International in Cambodia is seeking "One Nutritionist" to join our team in Phnom Penh with some travels to provinces.
The Nutritionist will serve as the technical lead for Holt International Cambodia's Child Nutrition Program (CNP). In this role, the nutritionist will provide technical expertise for nutrition interventions aim at improving the nutritional status and care of children. The incumbent will also be responsible for program implementation, training, and monitoring. The Nutritionist will work under the direct supervision of Holt International Cambodia’s Deputy Country Director. This position is based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia with some travels to provinces.
- Lead the delivery of the Child Nutrition Program in line with the CNP Operations Manual.
- Conduct site assessments to identify training needs, feeding practices, and nutritional challenges of children.
- Conduct training and hands-on practicums for site caregivers and staff.
- Coordinate local site staff in post-training activities and scaling efforts.
- Provide technical support on nutrition screening, growth monitoring, feeding practices (including for children with disabilities), and use of the Nutrition Screening System (an electronic health record system).
- Maintain accurate training logs, program records, and reports in accordance with organization and program standards.
- Schedule and conduct follow-up site visits, debriefs, and technical support to assess progress and address emerging needs.
- Submit quarterly reports on program progress, challenges, and outcomes.
- Prepare monthly update and monthly budget plan, and attend monthly team meetings.
- Maximize Holt’s mission by assessing opportunities to develop and grow programs.
- Promote the development of Holt’s child welfare programs by participating in community meetings, public relations events, workshops and training activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Dietetics, Nursing, or a related field.
- Work experience in child nutrition, public health nutrition program or related areas.
- Technical knowledge of child nutrition and growth monitoring.
- Facilitation, training, and coaching skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Be a Cambodian national and good level of both verbal and written English.
- Experience working with children.
- Familiarity with WHO child growth standards, nutrition screening tools.
- Desired experience working with children with disabilities and/or feeding practices.
