JOB DESCRIPTION
To work with the School Leaders, Singapore (Cambodia) International Academy Co., Ltd. (SCIA), the Nurse, is responsible for the following areas:
The Nurse is reporting to Department Head Student Well-being and is responsible for:
- Promoting health and safety for the students within the school facilities during the school day.
- Encouraging students to maintain healthy habits and behaviour
- Identifying both actual and potential health problems around the school and come and provides a case management services.
- Providing healthcare to students (primarily in PS and HS) and staff (in emergency cases)
- Performing health screenings
- Coordinating referrals to private health institutions
- Serving as liaisons between school personnel and students services to ensure the safety and well-being of the students.
- Developing plans for student care based on assessment, interventions, and identification of outcomes, and the evaluation of care
- Providing a health-related education to students and staff in both individual and group settings
- Monitoring immunisations, managing communicable diseases, and assessing the school environment as to prevent injury and ensure safety
- Continuing to update and oversee information on the latest infection control measures.
- Overseeing medication administration, health care procedures, and the development of healthcare plans
- Performing vision tests, hearing, body mass index, and general health screening procedures
- Maintaining the cleanliness and observes hygienic measures in the facilities especially the clinic.
- Making sure the sheets and all the materials needed for the laundry are cleaned every week.
- Putting up purchase requests for materials needed for the clinic.
- Taking the inventory of supplies inside the facility/clinic.
- Keeping health records of all the students in the school.
- Looking after the students in the sick bay and updating the teachers on the student’s development.
- Performing morning routine check.
- Following through and implementing school health management protocols.
- Providing programmes to students promoting health and hygiene routines and practices.
- Coordinating and communicating appropriately and making professional judgment to the best of her knowledge.
- Assisting School Leaders in any projects or tasks in relation to school goals and objectives.
- Academic Education / Training / Experience
- Graduated university or medical-related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in Early Years education institutions.
- Strong knowledge of childcare and Early Years education
- Experience as a School Nurse.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a school environment
