Natural Resource Management Program Officer
Position Circumstances

- Salary: $550 - $850 Based on Experience
Duty station: Battambang, Samlaut, and Pailin.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the implementation of the MJP conservation program, ensuring its alignment with relevant national policies as well as contributing to the MJP mission.
- Provide technical support to the law enforcement team on smart patrolling, effective community education, and law enforcement.
- Initiate and design technical training for natural conservation and sustainable natural resources management, reforestation, and wildlife protection.
- Coordinate and cooperate with MoE technical team, Park Directors, and local authorities to complete the Samlaut Multiple Use Area (SMUA) zoning.
- Coordinate and cooperate with relevant partners to establish and support forest community and protected area communities surrounding of SMUA.
- Develop and maintain good relations with provincial authority, district and commune councils, village leaders, armed forces operating in the target areas.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
- Khmer - Fluent
- Arabic - Fluent
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in natural resources management, environmental or conservation management, or in relevant fields.
Work History:
- At least experience in natural conservation, community engagement, ecotourism, and protected areas law enforcement issues for 5 years
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
- A good understanding of judiciary procedures, relevant legislation, and experience of working with governmental organizations.
- Proficiency in MS Offices and email, knowledge of GPS, GIS and mapping is required.
- Experience as project manager or team leader.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Khmer is a must.
Soft Skills
- Love the nature, highly integrity, age above 30 years old, fit for field traveling, can drive and own a valid driving license.
