National Project Assistant
PROJECT CONTEXT
CAPFISH Capture - Post Harvest Fisheries Development project is part of the “Cambodia Programme for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth in the Fisheries Sector” (ACA/2019/408-424) and is co-funded by the European Union and implemented by UNIDO. The overall objective is to contribute to the achievement of the Royal Government of Cambodia's long-term vision of social and economic development, food security and poverty reduction.
Main Duty Station and Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia, with the possibility to be relocated to Siem Reap after approximately 3 months
Mission/s to: Local travels in course of assignment, when needed, will be authorized through separate travel requests
Start of Contract (EOD): 15 January 2023
Number of Working Days: Regular - initial contract duration 6 months, with the possibility of extension upon its successful completion
- Support in office management including control of equipment, office supplies, vehicles etc.
- Provide administrative and organizational support for other coordination meetings, events, study tours, training programmes, workshops, etc. under outputs 1-4.
- Using SAP, initiate and follow up on actions related to trainings/workshops and study tours, raising purchase orders to purchase goods/services, travel requests and expense reports and deal with all related inquiries. Process all payments through relevant accounts and liaise with project team at Phnom Penh and UNIDO HQ to clear all payments in a timely manner.
- Collect and compile all data and documents for bi-annual reports, annual reports, service providers’ reports and other reports as required.
- Provide logistical support to international consultants, national consultants, and visiting UNIDO staff members and in organizing meetings, study tours and workshops at the field level and travel requests and expense reports when required.
- Monitor disbursements, commitments and budget allocations and availability in outputs 1-4.
- Maintain project equipment inventories (both paper and electronic asset management) and ensure appropriate use.
- Perform any other PIU-related activities, as requested by CTA and National Project Administrator.
- MINIMUM ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Education:
- Completed secondary education is required. Formal secretarial/clerical training or equivalent is desirable. Credit towards total working experience may be considered on a year-by-year basis, up to maximum of four years, for a first university degree or equivalent diploma, in a field relevant to the post.
- Technical and Functional Experience:
- A minimum of six (6) years of work experience in the related field of the post, is required.
- Experience in office procedures and practices, preferably within the UN system or in a multicultural environment, is required.
- Experience in project administration, accounting and finance, providing support to managerial/professional staff and using secretarial/administrative skills to assist in the execution of project development and implementation of work, is desirable.
- Experience and proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), internet, is required.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP software is desirable.
- Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English and Khmer is required.
