GIZ is a federally owned enterprise and is supporting the German Government in achieving its objectives in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development.

Under its umbrella, the GIZ Green Cluster in Cambodia combines a range of projects that promote sustainable agriculture and value chain development, biodiversity, climate resilience, and private sector engagement. These efforts are guided by GIZ’s overarching mandate to foster sustainable development through technical cooperation and capacity development, empowering individuals, institutions, and systems to plan and implement their own solutions.

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic full-time national intern to join our team. The intern will support the management team across the cluster to enhance the current outreach and facilitate future growth of the projects, based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Position Summary
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide communication and coordination support to management teams across all Green Cluster projects.
  • Support Advisors on research and development project activities
  • Support daily operations, preparing meetings, updating project calendars, assisting with event organization, maintaining databases, and contributing to the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system.
  • Assist in managing photography for events, field visits, and other related activities, including taking photos and organizing digital files.
  • Prepare meeting minutes and reports for supervisors in the preferred language (Khmer or English).
  • Provide administrative support to the team as required.
  • Perform other project-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • Khmer - Fluent
  • English - Fluent
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree in or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in public relations, Design, Communications, Business Administration, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Khmer and English are a must.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation for digital media.
  • Confident use of the MS Office suite and related programs
  • Interest in public relations, media, or content creation, with any prior experience in these areas considered an advantage.
Soft Skills
  • Willingness to participate in field visits with the project team.
  • Strong interest in community development, sustainable agriculture and food systems to contribute to GIZ's vision of sustainable development.
  • Flexibility and willingness to perform other tasks assigned.
