National Consultant-Assistant to The Head of Project (CD92)

Budget and Duration
The monthly financial offer is 900 USD (tax inclusive). The Assistant will work in full-time basis from Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, with the required flexibility. The Assistant will work for 6 months starting from October 2026 until March 2027, with the possibility of extension subject to project needs, satisfactory performance, and available funding.
Duty Station
The Assistant of HoP will be based at the Siem Reap Provincial Hall with occasional travel within Siem Reap Province as required by project activities.
Reporting Line
The Assistant of HoP will report directly to the CD92 HoP and work closely with GRET and Agrisud staff, provincial authorities, consultants, and project partners.
The consultant will be contracted and administratively managed by GRET and will work under the day-to-day supervision of the CD92 Head of Project.
Main Duties for the Consultant
The overall objective of this consultancy is to provide high-quality coordination, interpretation, translation, administrative, and logistical support to the Head of Project (HoP) of CD92 to ensure the effective implementation of the Territorial Food System activities in Siem Reap Province. Specifically, the Assistant of HoP will work under the direct supervision of the CD92 Head of Project and will be responsible for the following specific duties:
- Interpretation and Translation
- Provide accurate Khmer-English interpretation during meetings, workshops, field visits, and official missions.
- Produce clear and accurate working translations of project documents and correspondence between Khmer and English, with appropriate review of specialised or formal documents where necessary.
- Project Coordination, Administrative & Logistics Support
- Act as the support to the HoP—main point of contact—for local authorities, government offices, partners, and consultants.
- Help plan and run workshops, field visits, and project events, and follow up on action items to keep tasks on track.
- Coordinate communication and follow-up with provincial authorities, government departments, project partners, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare key project documents, such as agendas, meeting notes, and official letters. Keep project files and records organized

- Facilitate effective communication between the Head of Project and project stakeholders.
- Support information sharing and coordination among project stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Development Studies, Public Administration, International Relations, Agriculture, Rural Development, or another relevant discipline
- Project administration, coordination, interpretation, translation, or related fields for 2 years as a minimum
- Experience working with NGOs, government institutions, or international development projects is an advantage.
- Experience supporting meetings, workshops, and multi-stakeholder coordination is desirable.
- Excellent command of Khmer, both written and spoken.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to provide accurate interpretation and translation between Khmer and English.
- Knowledge of French would be considered an asset.
- Good command of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to prepare professional documents and presentations.
