National Assistant Accountant
The job descriptions of the national assistant accountant 1 (2nd Replacement) are: i) Verifying and checking the accuracy and completeness of all supporting documents such as invoices, bills, vouchers, and other similar documents; ii) Process payment requests from contractors and suppliers for required endorsement and approval in a timely manner; iii) Generating or preparing financial information and reports as may be required including monthly or quarterly progress reports and annual financial reports; iv) Performing monthly account closure and prepare monthly bank account reconciliations; v) Key-in all financial transactions into Sage 50 and ensure accurate and timely double-entry accounting of all transactions in line with the accounting standards and policies adopted for the project; vi) Review the accuracy and appropriateness of entries in project ledgers, journals and trial balances; vii) Verifying balances and cross-checking references of account books and rectifying discrepancies, if any; viii) Ensuring that expenditures are incurred according to the approved budget; ix) Assisting the finance manager and senior accounting staff members of PMU3 of MPWT with various tasks, including budget preparation, monitoring and reporting; x) Filing/ archiving all financial documents and retrieve timely manner; xi. Performing ad-hoc activities including coordinating with internal and external auditors.
- The National Assistant Accountant 1 (2nd Replacement), is required to have at least the following qualification and knowledge/experience:
- Bachelor Degree of Accounting or other related fields;
- Minimum 5-years working experience with development agencies and others;
- Minimum 3-years relevant experience in accounting disciplines;
- Good spoken and written English;
- Cambodian citizen.
