Position Summary:
The Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Specialist strengthens Wellbeing Consulting’s consultancy work by leading fieldwork documentation systems, data analysis, reporting processes, translation, and organisational learning. The role is responsible for transforming field data and evidence into structured, high-quality analysis and pre-report artefacts, and ensuring strong alignment among field evidence, learning, and client deliverables.
In addition, the MEL Specialist supports bilingual consultancy delivery through interpretation and translation, and contributes to building a coherent learning system, including knowledge management and website-based learning content. This role is suited for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and reflective, with the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with facilitators and leadership.
- Fieldwork Systems & Data Management (30%)
- Fieldwork Tools & Systems
- Contribute to the design and refinement of fieldwork and data collection tools.
- Ensure consistent use of tools across projects to maintain data quality and comparability.
- Support fieldwork implementation in coordination with the project manager.
- Data Management & Cleaning
- Lead the organisation, cleaning, and management of field data from team members and sessions.
- Maintain organised field documentation systems that strengthen evidence quality and support efficient analysis across projects.
- Data Analysis & Learning (30%)
- Data analysis
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to identify key themes, patterns and insights, emerging issues, and contextual dynamics.
- Synthesize findings into clear analytical outputs that inform reporting and learning.
- Prepare structured inputs for reporting using organisational templates.
- Ensure reports are evidence-based, logically organised, and aligned with client expectations and consultancy objectives.
- Learning & Reflection
- Synthesize learning from fieldwork and consultancy engagements.
- Identify cross-cutting insights to support programme improvement and future design, documenting learning consistently.
- Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of organisational learning and knowledge management systems.
- Contribute actively to internal reflection and learning processes.
- Translation & Interpretation (20%)
- Provide live interpretation during training workshops and consultancy workshops or meetings as needed.
- Translate consultancy tools and workshop materials, reports and analytical outputs, and internal documents.
- Ensure translation is accurate, high-quality, contextually and culturally appropriate, and aligned with the organisation’s relational tone.
- Training Support and Website Management (20%)
- Provide support for training workshops, including logistics coordination, participant support, and real-time documentation of learning.
- Capture key discussions, reflections, and insights during sessions.
- Support facilitators by ensuring smooth flow and alignment between process and documentation.
- Monitor website, identifying areas for update, responding to enquires and maintaining content.

- Bachelor's Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education, or related fields
- Two- four years of relevant experience in M&E, research, or consultancy support, data analysis and synthesis.
- Experience in consultancy or advisory projects.
- Experience supporting workshop or facilitation processes.
- Familiarity with learning systems or knowledge management.
- Exposure to NGOs, development sector, or social impact work.
- Experience managing or contributing to website content.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse both quantitative and qualitative data and generate insights, produce structured outputs with minimal supervision, and manage field documentation processes.
- Experience providing translation and/or interpretation in professional settings.
- Good in English for both speaking and writing
- Good in Khmer for both speaking and writing
