Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager and Quality Lead, the Microbiology Laboratory Administrator is responsible for supporting the laboratory in all administrative tasks. This includes being responsible for administrative aspects of procurement, training record maintenance, equipment management and data entry activities.
AHC has zero-tolerance to Child Abuse, Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and Sexual Harassment (SH).
- Procurement
- Support the Laboratory Manager (LM) and Quality Lead (QL) with all aspects of procurement.
- Conduct regular stock checks.
- Request items for purchase and communicate with MORU Procurement.
- Receive and label new stock; enter items into the stock database.
- Assist laboratory staff with updating the stock database when items are put into use.
- Training Records
- Maintain training records for all COMRU staff, including managing training forms and updating the training database.
- Support the LM in ensuring timely completion of mandatory training.
- Equipment Management
- Keep the equipment database and associated folders up to date.
- Assist the LM in monitoring and scheduling routine equipment maintenance.
- Log equipment issues in the equipment database.
- Update the database with newly acquired or decommissioned equipment.
- Data Entry
- Enter internal quality assurance data into the Quality database for review by the QL and/or LM.
- Perform routine data entry into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), providing support during staff absences and contributing to daily lab operations.
- General Support
- Conduct daily temperature checks.

- English - Good
- Experience with data entry and database management (desirable).
- Familiarity with procurement procedures (desirable).
- Good written and spoken English and Khmer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Willing to learn and improve knowledge and skills.
