The MH French Inclusive Education Facilitator will support French Language and French Bilingual Program teachers in the classroom, as well as with cocurricular activities and Language Labs.
- Provides in class support for students transitioning to CIS
- Implements communication, language and learning supports with individual students and with small groups under the guidance of certified teachers, inclusive education specialist teachers and speech-language therapist
- Contributes to an inclusive, welcoming, caring, respectful and safe learning environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Director of Early Years
- French - Fluent is required
- English - Good is preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in languages or practical experience as a language learner and teacher
- Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification is required
- Proficiency in the spoken and written French; proficiency in English preferred
- Experience working with young learners either in an international school or as a language tutor
- Knowledge of French grammar and language learning techniques
- Experience using technology in an educational setting
- Able to use or willing to learn to use Google Workspace
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Highly collaborative and keen to undertake professional development when possible
- Able to offer positive reinforcement and coaching to young learners
- Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Teaching Assistant

CIS seeks experienced candidates for the position of Teaching Assistant (TA). TAs are important members of our teaching team. They support classroom teachers in providing productive, safe learning environments. Several positions are available.
- Early years classroom: support play-based learning in a whole-class setting with children ages 18 months to 5 years old
- Elementary School classroom: support inquiry-based learning in a small group or whole-class setting with children ages 5 to 12 years old
- Middle and High School classroom: support academic learning and targeted learning support in whole class or small group settings with children 12 to 19 years old
- Support the teacher in providing instruction and in creating an effective learning environment
- Help to prepare and organize classroom materials
- Engage with the teacher in using positive behavioural supports and contributing to the creation of a safe, welcoming, respectful learning environment
- Practice active supervision outside of the classroom, including the playground, cafeteria, corridors and common areas
- Support the facilitation of co curricular and extracurricular activities
- English - Good
- High School Diploma
- High school diploma advanced education desirable
- Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification is required
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- General understanding of child development or interested in gaining this understanding
- Able to use a computer, Google Workspace and email
