MEP Inspector
Position Circumstances

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspect contractor’s MEP work according to shop-drawings, specifications, and requirements approved by the owner
- Inspect shop-drawings drawn by the contractors and compare against original MEP plans drawn by designer
- Inspect all MEP-related materials entering the site to ensure they match the materials agreed by the owner and contractor
- Supervise on-site construction activity which includes (but not limited to) surveying of pipe locations, connecting PPR pipes, installation of septic tanks, installation of electrical wires, and testing water leakage
- Modifying MEP plans based on site manager/owner’s instructions & requirements
- Coordinate with structural and architectural work to ensure a smooth workflow and timing on work is done according to requirements
- Create reports on major issues with the contractor’s work and propose solutions
- Spot irregularities or flaws in the MEP systems designed MEP designer and propose solutions to the systems
- Able to prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for all MEP-related work
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
- Khmer
- English
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and/or related fields
Work History:
- Experience doing MEP inspection work and/or related work for 2 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
- An understanding the flow of a construction project and familiar with required durations required for each type of work
- Knowledge of all materials available in Cambodia for MEP tasks and able to spot flaws and irregularities in these materials
- Knowledge of processes to perform MEP tasks and the proper techniques and requirements for these tasks
- Able to use AutoCAD proficiently to modify and/or create new plans
- Able to read and understand Structural, Architectural and MEP plans
- Able to communication and write in English and Khmer
Soft Skills
- Must be hard-working, good at solving problems, attention to detail, and most importantly honest
- Willingness to be out on the field supervising work for 90% of the time
- Able to communicate and work well with teammates and contractors
