American University Phnom Penh (AUPPHS)-Foxcroft Academy, located in Phnom Penh Cambodia, is looking for a talented Math teacher(s) to join the school's dynamic team. AUPPHS is affiliated with American University Phnom Penh, as well as Foxcroft Academy (located in the United States), thus the name. AUPPHS-FA is in its 6th year and has experienced steady growth in enrollment since its founding in 2020.AUPP High School-Foxcroft Academy embraces a college preparatory curriculum, created in partnership with Foxcroft Academy and American University Phnom Penh that embraces a STEAM (science, technology, engineering arts, and mathematics) philosophy. This philosophy focuses on combining disciplines designed not only to prepare students for university but also provides students with real-world 21st Century skills. All courses are taught in English by teachers from around the globe. This ensures not only a variety of perspectives but also an expansive pool of highly qualified teachers. AUPP HS promotes a western-style pedagogy that provides students with multiple opportunities to express their understanding of a problem or issue. Students are required to take 2-4 Advanced Placement courses beginning in their sophomore year.

Position Summary

The position is for capable of teaching grades 7- 12 (with Middle School Science)

SALARY: Depending on experience and level of University Degree

START: August 2026

Duties & Responsibilities:

Teachers at AUPP are expected to work collaboratively in order to provide a positive educational experience for its students.
Full time teachers are required to provide 20 hours of classroom instruction per week.
Teachers are expected to hold “office hours” in order to provide individual help to students. These hours are not expected to be held outside the normal working day.
Teachers will be asked to facilitate an after-class activity, such as a club or group pursuit. Examples of this may be a Book club, Model UN, Debate club, Art club, etc.
The time parameters of this expectation will be determined by the activity. Stipends will be paid based on time expectations.

Expected Profile of Candidates

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

Work History:

Teaching for 3 years is preferred

Skills & Knowledge:

General & Technical Skills

Being able to teach middle school level science will be a consideration for hire.
Educational degree(s) reflecting intimate knowledge of math subjects. This may include Pre-Algebra, Pre-AP Algebra I, Pre-AP Algebra II, and Pre-AP Geometry/stats, AP pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB and BC and AP Statistics
Ability to teach a non-traditional STEM related course such as Robotics, ICT, Engineering, Intro to AI, etc… is a plus.
Knowledge of the Advanced Placement curriculum is a plus but not required.
Teaching certificate is a plus but not required.
All courses are taught in English, therefore communicating lessons in English is required.
Being a native English speaker is preferred, but not mandatory.
Holding a degree in math related fields from the U.S., Canada, Australia, or UK desired, but not mandatory
