PlaySpace Montessori School is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Mandarin Chinese Tutor to conduct our after-school Mandarin program for Lower Elementary students through engaging, play-based, and interactive learning experiences.
- Working Schedule
- Monday to Thursday
- 3:45 PM – 4:45 PM
- 1 hour per day (4 hours per week)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct Mandarin Chinese lessons for Lower Elementary students.
- Create a fun, engaging, and stress-free learning environment.
- Prepare simple, age-appropriate lesson activities and learning materials.
- Encourage speaking, listening, and basic reading through games, songs, stories, and hands-on activities.
- Monitor students' learning progress and participation.
- Support Chinese cultural activities and school events when required.
- Work closely with the Academic and Campus Teams.
- Follow the school's curriculum, policies, and educational philosophy.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
- Khmer is preferred
- English is preferred
- Chinese - Mandarin - Fluent is preferred
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
- Native Chinese speaker or fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
- Able to communicate in Chinese and Khmer; English is preferred.
- Experience teaching Mandarin to young learners is preferred.
Soft Skills
- Passionate about working with children.
- Creative, patient, responsible, and enthusiastic.
- Able to deliver engaging, play-based, and interactive learning activities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
