Job Purpose
The Logistics Assistant supports the Logistics Manager in planning, coordinating, and implementing logistics operations, ensuring efficient procurement, inventory control, fleet and asset management, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Support the planning and organization of logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations for required goods and services in line with APOPO’s procurement policies and assist in preparing contracts as required.
- Assist in preparing procurement/tender documents for review and approval by management.
- Maintain a supplier database and support the drafting of quarterly procurement plans.
- Monitor and update inventory records regularly; assist with inventory counts and report any discrepancies or issues.
- Support vehicle management, including scheduling, maintenance, and fuel tracking.
- Maintain and update APOPO’s asset register (Asset Tiger), run asset spot checks and a full asset verification check once a year.
- Assist in tracking procurement costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to support logistics operations.
- Report any risks or problems and support quick solutions.
- Ensure all activities follow organizational policies and Cambodian laws.
- Keep all logistics documents and records organized and up to date.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
- Schedule: Monday Friday – Between 7:30 am 4:30 pm including lunch break
- Flexibility travel other provinces work extra hours specific occasions

- Bachelor's Degree in a subject related to supply change management or administration is highly desirable
- Experience working in logistics or in supply chain position, ideally within an international organization or NGO for 2 to 3 years
- Good knowledge of procurement and inventory management.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Experience using an ERP system is desired but not essential.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Khmer skills.
- An in-date driving license is desired but not essential.
