Logistics Assistant
Role Objective/Impact:
The logistics Assistant is responsible for assisting in managing and tracking the movement of all supply’s equipment, technicians’ spare parts, for the HALO Cambodia programme. The role is to enable operations and support, helping staff to make requests for materials and equipment required during the work cycle and ensuring accountability.
- Stores
- Issue and receive all non-fleet and mechanical equipment.
- Ensure the security of all stores.
- Report on lost or damaged items and prepare write-off lists.
- Ensure stores are organized and clean.
- Prepare equipment prior to deployment in support of HALO operational teams.
- Coordinate the in-cycle issue and transfer of equipment as needed.
- Inspect equipment handed in by teams and individuals.
- Report on lost or damaged items and prepare write-off lists.
- Monitor stocks consumption and anticipate and forecast procurement needs.
- Forward supply requests to the administration
- Catalogue every new item entering the store (including physical marking if necessary).
- Monitor the service and maintenance of stores’ equipment.
- Support local and regional purchasing of equipment.
- Support local and regional purchasing of equipment.
- Assist maintaining a list of suppliers and quotes for common items.
- Under the direction of senior management, transfer capital equipment records into the database.
- In coordination with Fleet manager dispatch, track and receive equipment to the teams in the field.
- Record Keeping
- Record all stock movements and ensure they are entered into the logistics database and backed up in paper forms.
- Ensure where necessary that store cards are accurate.
- Assist in the submission of monthly and 3 monthly requests to administration for purchasing.
- Assist as instructed during stores checks (monthly 50% or 100%).

- Carry out any other duties as directed to meet programme standards and operational requirements.
- Help with other projects that need assistance with supplies, building, and Compound accommodation maintenance.
- Check quantities, quality and report to the administration conformity upon reception of new items.
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Good written and spoken English
- Proven experience as a storekeeper, warehouse clerk, or similar role
- Must be organized and punctual
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Be able to operate an Access database or willing to learn.
