Position Circumstances

Position Summary

Working Location: KSCAC Head Office

Employment Type: Full-Time (Stay-in Position)

The Livestock Manager will play a critical role in improving livestock productivity, operational discipline, cost control, animal health, feed efficiency, market-oriented production planning, and sustainable agricultural management across KSCAC’s integrated farming systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Livestock Production Management
  • Plan, organize, supervise, and manage all livestock farming operations.
  • Manage animal production systems, including breeding, feeding, housing, and farm operations.
  • Monitor livestock growth, health, productivity, mortality rates, and overall farm performance.
  • Ensure livestock operations comply with approved production plans and operational standards.
  • Animal Health & Biosecurity Management
  • Monitor animal health conditions daily and ensure early disease prevention.
  • Coordinate vaccination, medication, treatment, and veterinary support as required.
  • Implement strict farm biosecurity and sanitation systems.
  • Reduce mortality rates and improve livestock survival performance.
  • . Feed Management & Cost Control
  • Monitor livestock feed usage and feeding efficiency.
  • Ensure feed utilization aligns with approved production plans and productivity targets.
  • Control feed wastage and improve feed conversion efficiency.
  • Support and maintain KSCAC’s operational discipline and efficiency standards.
  • Production Planning & Operational Control
  • Develop livestock production plans based on breeding cycles, growth periods, and market demand.
  • Coordinate daily livestock activities under KSCAC’s Operational Command System (OCS).
  • Monitor productivity indicators, mortality rates, feed usage, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure livestock production is aligned with sales forecasts and cash flow planning.
  • Cost Control & Profitability Management
  • Control farming input costs, including feed, medicines, utilities, labor, and farm operating expenses.
  • Improve production efficiency and reduce operational losses.
  • Support KSCAC leadership in identifying profitable and non-profitable livestock activities.
  • Contribute to improve livestock profit margins and operational sustainability.
  • Operational Reporting & Data Management
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly livestock production reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of animal population, growth, mortality, feed consumption, medication usage, and production output.
  • Coordinate reporting with KSCAC’s Financial Command System and OCS dashboard.
  • Support leadership by providing operational data for informed decision-making.
  • Team Leadership & Staff Supervision
  • Supervise livestock workers, farm technicians, and support staff.
  • Train staff on livestock SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), feeding protocols, animal care, and farm hygiene practices.
  • Maintain work discipline, productivity, and operational accountability.
  • Ensure daily farm tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Quality Control & Market Readiness
  • Ensure livestock products meet quality standards for market distribution and sale.
  • Coordinate production schedules with KSCAC’s marketing and sales teams.
  • Ensure production aligns with buyer demand and market opportunities.
  • Reduce product losses and improve supply consistency.
  • Sustainable Integrated Farming Support
  • Support KSCAC’s integrated farming and circular agriculture systems.
  • Coordinate livestock operations with crop production, aquaculture, aquaponics, and BSF (Black Soldier Fly) systems.
  • Promote efficient farm waste recycling and sustainable agricultural practices.

Expected Profile of Candidates
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Experience in livestock farming, animal production, farm management, or veterinary-related operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of animal health, feed management, disease prevention, and livestock production systems.
  • Ability to prepare reports and manage operational records.
  • Experience in commercial farming or cooperative systems is an advantage.
Soft Skills
  • Honest, disciplined, hardworking, and responsible.
  • Willingness to stay full-time at the KSCAC Head Office in Kampong Cham Province.
