About Learning Support Program Officer

The role is responsible for identify and supporting students in grade 1 to 6 who are struggling in Khmer literacy and numeracy. The officer develops and implements targeted intervention program to improve student achievement by working closely with classroom teachers, education teams, and specialists. The role includes planning, ,monitoring, documentation, and reporting on the progress of students enrolled in the Learning Support Program (LSP).
Key liaison: Education Team
Report to: KGE Program Coordinator
Working Days/Hours: 07:30am-12:00pm and 01:30pm-05:00pm from Monday to Saturday (full-time)

- Deliver targeted learning support to individuals or small groups with low proficiency in Khmer literacy and numeracy;
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to co-teach or support whole-class sessions where appropriate;
- Design and implement individualized learning plans based on diagnostic data;
- Identify students needing learning support through assessment results and teacher referrals;
- Monitor student progress and learning outcomes using qualitative and quantitative tools;
- Develop clear intervention schedule and action plans for pull out and booster students;
- Support teachers in planning and implementing effective instructional strategies for underachieving students;
- Conduct classroom observations and sport checks to ensure quality teaching practices;
- Other tasks are assigned by line manager.
- Khmer - Good
- English - Good
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
- At least experience in education or similar work for 2 years
- Good knowledge of Khmer literacy, numeracy, and inclusive teaching strategies;
- Ability to deliver targeted learning support and implement Individualized Learning Plans;
- Good organizational, supervisory, communication and problem solving skills;
- Good oral and written communication skills in both Khmer and English
- Be punctual, honest, trustworthy, patient, respectful and helpful;
- High compassion and commitment to work with community people and children with a difficult background and home life;
