Lead Operator
Duties, Responsibilities
Expectations - - Lead and manage a team of Operators in ensuring a safe, efficient and reliable operations in the terminal. In this role, lead and role-model the OEMS (Operational Excellence Management System). Compliance with OEHES policies, standards and process is required.
- Manage and oversee the Marine Receipt process, taking accountability on the entire receipt operations.
- Manage and oversee all terminal operations processes such as tank gauging, tank truck loading, additive and dye operations, stock control, inventory management, product sampling and testing etc.
- Executes planned routine maintenance activities such as but not limited to identified critical operational equipment such as storage tanks, pipeline, valves and firefighting equipment. Accountable for keeping proper record of the same.
- Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with our Operation Excellence requirements and executing the contract as per work scope.
- OEHES and CHESM activities including but not limited to work permitting, emergency response, MOC processes, incident reporting / investigation, LPS coaching and stewardship etc.
- Assist the Terminal Manager with keeping all Operating Procedures current and relevant.
- Support in the procurement process for services or equipment and supplies as needed for terminal operations.
- Accountable for a good housekeeping of the terminal.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or Equivalent.
- Good Leadership and Managing skill
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Good planning and analytical skills.
- Working level computer skills - MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Experiences with Petroleum industries will be an added advantage
