Laboratory Technician (Replacement) (1 Position)
Accountable to: Labo Unit/NCHADS
Job Summary:
The position is responsible for implementing PCR testing on all specimens submitted to the NCHADS laboratory, focusing on quality and quantitative PCR testing as well as drug resistance testing. The role ensures that high-quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Specific Responsibilities:
- Implement PCR techniques with a clear understanding of the testing procedures and their technical relevance.
- Manage equipment, materials, consumables, and reagents to ensure proper performance of PCR analyses.
- Maintain equipment, glassware, reagents, and control charts that are assigned to the unit and/or the entire laboratory.
- Report any issues with equipment, glassware, or technical analysis to the Head and/or Assistant Head of the HIV and STI Laboratory Unit.
- Ensure the Siem Reap laboratory is kept clean, organized, and is a safe working environment.
- Complete laboratory worksheets for all examinations conducted, seeking approval from the Head and/or Assistant Head of Siem Reap and NCHADS Laboratory.
- Collaborate effectively with the team, including the Head of Siem Reap and other wards, to ensure high-quality standards of testing.
- Ensure proper handling of laboratory waste, including collection, storage, and disposal.
- Participate in relevant workshops and training conducted by the Siem Reap Laboratory or other organizations.
- Carry out any additional duties as requested by the Head of Siem Reap Laboratory or the Hospital Director.
- General Responsibilities:
- Assist in carrying out tasks with due diligence.
- Collaborate effectively within and between units to improve the performance of Siem Reap Hospital.
- Ensure regular, punctual, and full-time attendance during official working hours.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and honesty in all tasks and activities.
- Report any irregularities or significant issues affecting the efficient and honest functioning of the ward to the Head
- and/or Assistant Head of the Laboratory, the Head of the Technical Bureau, or the Director of Siem Reap.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Head of the Laboratory, the Head of the Technical Bureau, or the
- Hospital Director.
- Bachelor’s degree in laboratory, health sciences or relevant field
- At least 2 years of experience working in a clinical laboratory.
- Full-time availability to work in a hospital laboratory.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work as part of a team in the laboratory.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Provincial Data Management Officer (Re-announce) (1 Position)
Work location: PHD, Preah Vihear Province
Accountable to: Data Management Unit/NCHADS
Job Summary
To assist with health facilities and PHD staff on the design and maintenance of data management tools, the data collection and data analysis of VCCT, ART, PNTT, PrEP, PEP, EID, TB/HIV, PMTCT, STI, NPD services.
- Specific Responsibilities
- To work in team with the PHD staff
- To maintain the NCHADS’ Database applications: VCCT ART, PNTT, PrEP, PEP, EID, TB/HIV, PMTCT, STI, and NPD health facility data collection instruments. And assist MPI data analyze, dashboard and data entry.
- To maintain the computers of data management system, printer, network connectivity and Test-Result Remote Printing.
- To work closely with health facilities and other partners to ensure regular collection and submission of patient data required for the data management system.
- To enter paper-based data from health facilities into Data management databases.
- To compile data on service availability To compile, enter and maintain data in the data management databases and review/clean-data for data quality of Prevention, HIV Testing and Treatment program.
- To prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and other reports based on the data management system and to send the data sets to NCHADS data management unit on time as deadline.
- To provide basic information for decision makers to conduct data analysis and data use.
- To provide back up to health facilities staff, and ensure adequate feedback and dissemination of report.
- Play a role as Data Entry Clerk when Data Entry clerk is vacancy or taking long leave.
- General Responsibilities

- To cooperate helpfully within and between units to strengthen the performance of PASP.
- To ensure regular, punctual and full-time attendance to duties during official working hours.

- Qualifications:
- Degree in computer Science or related filed
- Ability to conduct multiple tasks and effectiveness in high-pressure situations
- Ability to absorb and synthesize a broad range of information
- Ability to travel within the province
- Good interpersonal skills
- Residence in base province
- Experiences:
- One years working experience in IT with similar position
- Ability to install, maintain databases software system (MySQL/SQL server)
- Experiences on working in HIV/AIDS field
- Experiences on Virtual Meeting App as Zoom or Microsoft Team or Google meeting.
- Competencies:
- Strong computer skills in Computer Maintenance and Networking
- Knowledge in: Microsoft Office skill (Ms-Word, Ms-Excel and Ms-Power point).
