The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is seeking a motivated and skilled Kitchen Garden Nutrition-Sensitive Officer to support a nutrition-focused initiative under the TOGETHER project.

Kitchen Garden Nutrition-Sensitive Officer

Position Summary

This role will lead training, coaching, and technical support on resilient kitchen gardening and nutrition practices targeting adolescents, parents, and caregivers in rural communities. Based in Preah Vihear with travelling to Steung Treng Provinces, If you are passionate about food security, climate-resilient agriculture, and community empowerment, we’d love to hear from you!

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Deliver hands-on training for community group leaders, adolescents, and caregivers on kitchen gardening and nutrition.
  • Coordinate with the Provincial Department of Agriculture and local facilitators to ensure quality implementation.
  • Support households in establishing and sustaining kitchen gardens using climate-adapted techniques.
  • Integrate methods like Learning Through Play (LTP) and Making Mealtimes Matter (MMM) to improve family engagement and child nutrition.
  • Monitor progress, document outcomes, and assist in preparing reports and visibility materials.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Nutrition, Public Health, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in agriculture extension, nutrition programming, or community development.
  • Proven ability to train and support rural households, especially women and youth.
  • Experience in climate-sensitive or nutrition-sensitive gardening practices
  • Preferred Skills
  • Strong facilitation and mentoring abilities.
  • Good communication in Khmer; English is preferred
  • Familiarity with working in remote or ethnically diverse communities.
  • Ability to coordinate with government partners such as PDA, PED, and PHD
