Kindergarten Teacher

Position Summary

Note: For Cambodian applications Only

The Kindergarten teacher will be mainly responsible for teaching four macro skills such as reading, writing, speaking and listening, tracking and updating student learning progress, filling in student checklist and report, and developing fun and played based learning activities to engage all kids. The role will work closely with teacher assistant to take care of all kids providing a safe and nurturing learning environment to promote social and emotional learning skills.

Report to: Early Childhood Education Supervisor

Key liaison: All CCF’s staffWorking Hours: Monday – Saturday, 7:30am-12:00pm and 1:30pm-5:00pm.

Remunerations

CCF provides successful candidates a competitive salary based on job and potential. Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Check students’ daily attendance and report the reasons to CCFCC education department
  • Take responsibility in taking good care of all the students
  • Ensure that the valuable materials are safely kept at the Community Center (CCF5) (Cassettes Player, CD, CD player, LCD Projector and books….)
  • Response for changing/giving study materials to students (pencil, pen, book…)
  • Make monthly report in teaching progress (student report, your achievements, your suggestions, etc)
  • Prepare monthly academic review, monthly score list and record on student’s community point and send to supervisor
  • Update information related to education to all students
  • Join any CCF’s activities like dancing party, trip and other activities arranged by CCF
  • Teach English effectively by focusing on Speaking, Writing, Reading, and Listening skills
  • Develop daily/weekly lesson plans as well as set weekly and monthly test for students
  • Be creative in teaching (develop the real objects and material for teaching)
  • Prepare the English movie watching and listening activities to the students every week
  • Be responsible for set up English movie program for students to watch every week
  • Make sure that the class is an English speaking environment class
  • Encourage students to come to class on time and everyday as well as encouraging them to be good students.
  • Work closely with the Teacher Assistant as well as all the other teachers in CCF
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Ethical and able to demonstrate CCF values in day-to-day work;
  • At least 01-year experience as kindergarten Teacher or similar role;
  • Bachelor Degree or at least Associate’s Degree in Education, Psychology or Early Childhood Education or related field;
  • Certificates of Childhood development and First Aid;
  • Proven experience working with young children;
  • Be willing to listen to instruction and learn new ways of working with children;
  • Computer Literacy (Ms. Word, Power Point, Internet and e-mail…etc.)
  • Good oral and written communication skills both English and Khmer;
  • Be honest, trustworthy, patient, respectful and helpful;
  • High compassion and commitment to work with our community and children from a difficult background;
 
 

Teacher Assistant

Position Summary

Report to: Early Childhood Education Supervisor

Key liaison: All CCF’s staff

Working Hours: Monday – Saturday, 7:30am-12:00pm and 1:30pm-5:00pm.

The successful candidate will become part of an integrated team working together as ONE CCF.

Teacher Assistant will be mainly responsible for assisting a homeroom teacher in term of classroom organization, taking class attendance, material preparation and distribution such as textbooks, workbooks, paper and pencils to kids. The role will also help teachers to support student individually or in a small group in order to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers. He or she will monitor students in the use of and care equipment and materials and maintain a child-friendly learning environment and kid’s hygiene.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Work with the Head Teacher to lead the class
  • Support the Head Teacher by taking group, assisting in lessons, classroom organization, and preparation of materials
  • Distribute teaching materials such as textbooks, workbooks, papers, and pencils to students.
  • Requisition and stock teaching materials and supplies.
  • Help teacher to operate and maintain audiovisual equipment.
  • Tutor and assist children individually or in small groups in order to help to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
  • Supervise students in classrooms, halls, school yards, and gymnasiums, or on field trips.
  • Organize and supervise games and other recreational activities to promote physical, mental, and social development.
  • Conduct demonstrations to teach such skills as sports, dancing, and handicrafts.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials, in order to prevent injuries and damage.
  • Observe students' performance, behavioral management and record relevant data to assess progress.
  • Take class attendance, and maintain attendance records.
  • Provide care and ensure the safety and well.
  • Help the teacher organize lesson plans and other relevant documents
  • Ensure that the classroom is always neat and tidy
  • Maintain an inventory of all the materials in the classroom with the head teacher and make sure that all materials are in tact
  • Help the main teacher to maintain a child friendly environment that is safe and also attractive for the children
  • Assist in making sure that the children are clean all the time as hygiene is a number one priority.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience

  • At least High school diploma or equivalent qualification;
