Schedule: Monday -Friday (7:30 - 16:30) & Saturday (8:00 - 12:00)
Location: Japanese International School of Phnom Penh
Job Summary:
A Kindergarten Teacher plays a vital role in nurturing and educating young children during their early learning years. This position involves planning and delivering creative, age-appropriate educational activities that foster social, emotional, and intellectual growth. The Kindergarten Teacher creates a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where children feel secure and motivated to explore and learn.
- Curriculum Planning and Delivery
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Utilize play-based learning techniques to foster curiosity and creativity.
- Child Supervision and Safety
- Ensure a safe, nurturing, and hygienic environment for all children.
- Monitor children’s behavior and intervene when necessary to promote positive interactions.
- Child Development and Assessment
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting milestones and areas for improvement.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Classroom Management
- Organize and maintain an engaging learning space with educational materials and resources.
- Encourage and model appropriate social behavior, fostering a cooperative atmosphere.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians about children’s progress and any concerns.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational program.
- Professional Development
- Stay updated with best practices in early childhood education through continuous learning and training.
- Promoting Well-Being and Inclusion
- Address the unique needs of each child, ensuring inclusivity and respect for diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience: Prior experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or preschool setting. Experience in creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.
